356. She is one, two, three, four, five, six and seven.

Verse 356

கண்ணாகி கண்ணிறைந்த சாக்ஷியாகி

கருணைவளர் கற்பூர தீபமாகி

ஒண்ணாசத்தி சிவம் ரெண்டுமாகி

 பூத்தகலை ரவிமதியுஞ் சுடர் மூன்றாகி

விண்ணாகி வேதமென்ற நாலுமாகி

வேதாந்த பஞ்சகர்த்தாள் அஞ்சுமாகி

முண்மைபெற சடாக்ஷரங்கள் ஆறுமாகி

முத்தியுள்ள வகை தோற்ற மேழுமாமே

Translation:

Becoming the eye, the witness filling the eye

As the merciful flame of camphor

As the incomparable sakti and sivam, the duality

As the sun, moon and flame- the three kala,

As the sky, the four Vedas

As the five pancha kartha (effectors)

As the six letters

As the seven types of life forms that can attain mukti.

Commentary:

Sakthi is the eye or the consciousness which makes everything known.  She is also the witness who experiences that knowledge.  She is the smoky flame experienced at the ajna.  She is the singularity as well as the duality of sakthi and sivam.  she is the triple flame of sun, moon and flame.  She is the four Veda, the emanation from nadha.  She is the five effectors- Sadasiva, Maheswara, Rudra, Vishnu and Brahma.  She is the six letters that Agatthiyar is explaining in the next verse.  She is also the seven types of lifeforms- the crawlers, flyers, animals, plants, celestials, humans and those that live in water.

சக்தியே அனைத்தையும் புரியவைக்கும் கண்ணாவாள்.  அவள் அறிவும் அந்த அறிவைப் பெறும் சாட்சியுமாவாள்.  அவளே யோகிகள் ஆக்னையில் கற்பூர தீபமாகக் காண்கின்றனர்.  அவள் அனைத்தும் ஒன்றாக விளங்கும் ஒருமை நிலையிலும் சிவம் சக்தி என்ற இருமை நிலையிலும் மூன்று ஒளிகளான சூரியன், சந்திரன், அக்னியாகவும் நாதத்திலிருந்து பிறந்த நான்கு வேதங்களாகவும் பஞ்ச கர்த்தாக்கள் எனப்படும் சதாசிவம், மகேஸ்வரன், ருத்திரன், விஷ்ணு மற்றும் பிரம்மாவாகவும் ஆறு எழுத்துக்களாகவும் (அகத்தியர் இதை அடுத்த பாடலில் விளக்குகிறார்) ஏழுவித உயிரினங்களாகவும் (ஊர்வன, பறப்பன, நடப்பன, தாவரங்கள், நீரில் வாழ்வன, தேவர்கள் மற்றும் மனிதர்கள்) இருக்கிறாள்.
