333. How to see Siva roopa

Verse 333

தேடப்பா கண்மூடி விழியைத்தானே

திருவான சுழி முனையில் கருத்தை வைத்து

நாடப்பா நேத்திரத்தைச் சூட்டிப் பாரு

நாதாந்த சுடர் விழியில் விரலாலாட்ட

கூட்டப்பா பிரபைஒளி என்ன சொல்வேன்

கோடான கோடிரவி பிரபை வீசும்

சூடப்பா அப்பிரபை தானே கண்டால்

சுகமான சிவரூபம் தான்தானாச்சே

Translation:

Search son, closing the eyes, the awareness

Placing attention at the tip of the whorl

Seek son focusing on the eye

Shaking with finger, the eye of the nadhantha flame

Join it son.  How can I describe the brilliance?

It is the illumination equivalent to millions and millions of suns

Adorn it, if you see the light

It is the Sivaroopam.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar is describing an advanced practice here.  Attention is focused at ajna, eyes are closed (the advanced way of sambhavi mudra) and the region of ajna cakra is stirred with the finger.  Then a great effulgence ensues which he says is equivalent to millions of suns.  This is sivaroopam or form of consciousness.

அகத்தியர் இங்கு ஒரு முக்கியமான பயிற்சியை விளக்குகிறார். அது சாம்பவி முத்திரையின் அடுத்த கட்டம்போலத் தோன்றுகிறது.  கண்களை மூடி, ஆக்னையைப் பார்த்து, விரலால் அந்த இடத்தை ஆட்ட வேண்டும் என்றும் அவ்வாறு செய்தால் கோடி சூரியப் பிரகாசம் தோன்றும் என்றும் அவர் கூறுகிறார்.  இதுதான் சிவரூபம் என்றும் அவர் கூறுகிறார்.
