335. Scenes witnessed at ajna

Verse 335

கண் கண்ட சிவரூபம் இதுதானப்பா

கருணை வளர் சாயுச்சிய பதமீதையா

விண்கண்ட வெளிப்பூசை சரிதை மார்க்கம்

வேதாந்த சுழிமுனையில் மேவிப்பாரு

முன் கண்ட காட்சிஎல்லாம் அங்கே கண்டேன்

முத்தியுள்ள பிறப்பிறப்பு முன்னே கண்டேன்

கண்கண்ட ஓங்கார வட்டந்தன்னில்

காணுதடா எட்டு இரண்டுங் கருவாய்க் காணே

Translation:

This is the siva roopa that was seen

This is the sayujya padam.

There I saw all the scenes I witnessed before

I saw birth and death that grants mukti,

In the circle of the omkara

The eight and two is seen, see it as the essence.

Commentary:

The circle of omkara is present at ajna.  Eight and two are akara and ukara, the root cause of this manifested world.  Agatthiyar says that this is the siva roopam, the suyujya padam, the internal component of the external worship performed as charya, one of the four steps that agama prescribes- charya, kriya, yoga and jnana.  He also says that he saw all births and deaths, all his life experiences here. 

ஓங்கார வட்டம் ஆக்ஞையில் உள்ளது.  அங்கு எட்டும் இரண்டும் கருவாகத் தென்பட்டன என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  எட்டு இரண்டு என்பவை அகார உகாரங்கள்.   அவையே உலகம் தோன்றுவதற்குக் காரணமாக உள்ளவை.  அதனால் ஆக்ஞையில் இதுவரை தான் கண்ட காட்சிகள் அனைத்தையும் பார்த்ததாகவும், பிறப்பு இறப்பையும் முக்தியையும் பார்த்ததாகவும் அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார். அவர் கூறும் இந்த யோகம் உள்பூசை.  அதன் வெளிப்பாடு சரியையாகும்.  சரியை என்பது ஆகமம் கூறும் நான்கு படிகளான சரியை, கிரியை, யோகம் ஞானம் என்பவற்றில் முதல் படி. இதுதான் ஆக்ஞையில் சிவரூபமாகத் தென்படுகிறது என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
