336. Eight and two are none other than self

Verse 336

நாதவிந்து

காணப்பா புலத்தியனே உனக்காய்ச் சொன்னேன்

கருவான எட்டிரண்டும் நாதவிந்து

பேணப்பா நாதவிந்து சத்தி சிவமாச்சு

பெருகிநின்ற சத்தி சிவந் தான்தானென்று

பூணப்பா அறிவதனால் மனமே பூண்டு

புத்தியுடன் சத்தி சிவம் உரைக்கக் கேளு

தோணப்பா தனையறிந்து பூசை செய்ய

சொல்லுகிறேன் கருமானஞ் சூக்ஷந்தானே

Translation:

Nada bindu

See Pulathiya, I am telling for your sake

Eight and two are nadha and bindu

The nadha and bindu became sakti and sivam

The sakti and siva is the Self

Keeping this in the mind through knowledge

Listen, with intellect (buddhi), about sakti and sivam

Performing worship knowing about self

I will tell you about the subtlety of the components

Commentary:

Agatthiyar is explaining that eight and two are nadha and bindu, they are sakti and sivam.  These two are none other than Self.  He is then beginning to describe the process of internal worship.

முந்தைய பாடலில் கூறிய எட்டும் இரண்டும் நாத விந்துக்கள் என்றும் அவையே சக்தி சிவம் என்றும் கூறுகிறார் அகத்தியர்.  இவையிரண்டும் ஆன்மாவன்றி  வேறில்லை என்கிறார் அவர்.  இதை அறிவினால் அறிந்து மனதில் பூண்டு புத்தியுடன் உட்பூசை செய்யவேண்டும் என்றும் அதற்கான வழிமுறைகளைக் கூறுகிறேன் என்றும் இப்பாடலை முடிக்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
