344. Share the offerings with disciples

Verse 344

ஓதிமனப் பூரணமாய் மைந்தா நீயும்

உண்மையுடன் அமுதுகறி வர்க்கம் எல்லாம்

நீதியுடன் மூலமதுக் கர்ப்பணமே செய்து

நேர்மையுடன் சீஷர்களை அருகழைத்து

சோதிஎன்ற புருவமத்தில் திருநீறிட்டு

சுகசீவ பிராணகளை அமுர்தம் ஈய்ந்து

ஆதிபரஞ் சோதிதனைத் தியானம் பண்ணி

அமுதுகறி வர்க்கமெல்லாம் அவர்கட் கீயே

Translation:

Reciting so, son,

All the vegetables and rice types

Offer it to mulam

Calling the disciples near

Smearing the sacred ash at the middle of the brow

Offering them Sukha Jeeva Praana kalai to them

Contemplating on aadhi paramjyothi

Offer all the rice and vegetable types.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar says that after contemplating on Mulaganapathy, recite vasi vasi so that the nectar will occur.  Then the yogin should offer all the vegetable and rice types to Mulam which is muladhara or the Supreme Being who is the origin of everything.  He should then smear vibhuthi on his disciples’ forehead, offer them sukha jeeva praana kalai and share the foods with them as prasada while contemplating on the supreme effulgence.  Thus, this worship is not only for the yogin but for everyone around him. 

மூலகணபதியை தியானித்து வசிவசி என்று ஓத அமிர்தம் ஊறும்.  அதன் பிறகு எல்லா கறிவர்க்கங்களையும் அன்ன வர்க்கங்களையும் மூலத்துக்குப் படைக்கவேண்டும். தனது சீடர்களை அழைத்து அவர்களது நெற்றியில் விபூதி பூசி அவர்களுக்கு சுக ஜீவ பிராண களையைத் தந்து, ஆதி பரஞ்சோதியை மனதில் கொண்டு அந்த அன்ன வர்க்கங்களையும் கறிவகைகளையும் பிரசாதமாகப் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.

இதனால் ஒரு யோகி இந்த யோகத்தைச் செய்வது தனது நன்மைக்கு மட்டுமல்ல பிறருக்கும் நன்மை பயக்கத்தான் என்பது புரிகிறது.
