343. Puja of Mulaganapathy

Verse 343

வாங்கியிடு மார்பினிடை அணைத்து மைந்தா

வணக்க முடன் சிம் றிங் கிலி என்றேதான்

ஓங்கி ஒரு மனதாக தியானம் பண்ணி

உத்தமனே புருவநடுக் கமலத்தேகி

தாங்கிமிக ஓம் றீங் அம் என்றோதி

சங்கையுடன் மூலகண பதியைப் பார்த்து

பாங்குபெற வசிவசி என்று அமிர்தமூட்டி

பத்தியுடன் சற்குருவே நம வென்றோதே

Translation:

Place it, holding it in the chest, son

As sim ring kili- with respect,

Contemplating with mental focus

The supreme one, going to the lotus of the brow middle

Utter om reeng am

See moola ganapathy

Kindle the nectar uttering vasivasi

Recite, “Sathguru nama”

Commentary:

Agatthiyar seems to be talking about an external worship.  He says install a pot with the mantra sim ring kili. Then the yogin has to perform dhyana by focusing on the ajna reciting om reeng am.  He should perceive Mulaganapathy and recite vasi vasi so that the nectar is kindled and utter Satguru nama.

Nama represents all the karma and attachments.  It also means, not mine, yours.  That way the yogin offers all his actions, fruits of actions and the doership so that he does not accumulate anymore karma.

இப்பாடல்களில் அகத்தியர் வெளிப்பூசையை விளக்குகிறார்.  ஒரு கடத்தை மார்புடன் அணைத்து வாங்கி சிம் றிங் கிலி என்று ஓதி இடவேண்டும் என்றும் கவனத்தை ஆக்னையில் வைத்து ஓம் றீங் அம் என்று ஓத வேண்டும்.  பிறகு மூல கணபதியைப் பார்த்து வசிவசி என்று ஓத அமிர்தம் தோன்றும்.  அதன் பிறகு சத்குருவே நம என்று கூறவேண்டும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.

நம என்பவை ஒருவரது கர்மங்களையும் சம்ஸ்காரங்களையும் குறிக்கும்.  இவற்றை ஒருவர் மூல கணபதிக்கு அர்ப்பணித்து விடுகிறார். நம என்பதன் மூலம் ஒருவர் தனது காரியத்தையும் செய்பவர் என்ற நிலையையும் அந்த காரியத்தின் பலனையும் கணபதிக்கு அர்ப்பணித்துவிடுகிறார்.
