315. Aarooda samadhi- crossing suddha maya

Verse 315

காணவே ஆரூட சமாதிதன்னை

கருணையுள்ள புலத்தியனே சொல்லக் கேளு

பூணவே தத்துவலய சமாதிபெற்று

பேணவே நிருவிகற்ப சமாதிபெற்று

பிலமதாக சஞ்சார சமாதியாக

தோணவே ஆரூட சமாதிகொண்டால்

சுத்தமென்ன அசுத்தமென்ன ரெண்டுமொன்றே

Translation:

To see the aarooda Samadhi

The merciful Pulathiya!  Listen to me say it

Attaining the tattva laya Samadhi

Attaining the nirvikarpa Samadhi

Becoming sanchara Samadhi

If aarooda Samadhi is attained

There is no distinction as pure and impure.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar lists the steps of the five types of Samadhi.  One attains the tattva laya Samadhi first, then savikarpa Samadhi, nirvikarpa Samadhi and then sanchara Samadhi.  When one reaches the last stage, aarooda Samadhi Agatthiyar says that there is no distinction as pure and impure.  Here this may correspond to the impure and pure maya.  Thus the yogin reaches the state beyond suddha maya.  In this stage the yogin crosses siva tattva that suddha maya creates.

இப்பாடலில் அகத்தியர் சமாதிகளின் வரிசையை மீண்டும் கூறுகிறார்.  ஒரு யோகி முதலில் தத்துவ லய சமாதியை அடைகிறார்.  அதன் பிறகு சவிகற்ப சமாதி, நிர்விகற்ப சமாதி மற்றும் சஞ்சார சமாதியை அடைகிறார்.  இதன் பிறகு அவர் ஆரூட சமாதியை அடையும்போது சுத்தம் அசுத்தம் என்று இரண்டு இல்லை என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  இது சுத்த மாயை அசுத்த மாயையைக் குறிக்கும்.  இவ்வாறு அந்த யோகி சுத்த மாயையையும் கடக்கிறார்.  இந்த நிலை சுத்த மாயை தோற்றுவிக்கும் சிவதத்துவங்களைக் கடந்த நிலையாகும்.
