183. Siddhi of the path

Verse 183

தெரிசிப்பேத் தினந்தோறுந் தியானம் பண்ணி

தீர்க்கமுடன் மானதமாம் பூசை செய்தால்

நெறிசித்தி யாகி அந்த நெறி யிற்குள்ளே

நின்றிலங்கும் கணபதியும் வல்லபையு மைந்தா

பரிசித்த மாகவேநீ தெரிசித்தாக்காற்

பத்தியுடன் சகலசித்தும் கைக்குள்ளாகும்

வருவித்த சித்தால்தான் கைக்குள்ளான

மகத்தான அவையடக்கஞ் சொல்லக் கேளே

Translation:

You will perceive it daily through contemplation

If you perform mental worship elaborately

The path will attain siddhi and within that path

Ganapathy and Vallabhai will glow within that path, Son.

If you have the darsan with purity

And devotion, all the mystical accomplishments will be attained

Through the accomplishments attained

Let me tell you what are all contained.

Commentary:

As a continuation of the previous verse Agatthiyar says that if Pulatthiyar sees Ganapathy and Vallabhai through dhyana and recitation of aim kleem om the path of consciousness, kundalini, will open up and within that path the effulgence, Ganapathy and Vallabhai will glow.  He adds that all the mystical accomplishments or siddhi will be attained.  He goes on to elaborate the principles contained in the siddhi. “avaiyadakkam” also means displaying humility in the presence of audience.  It also means “they are contained”.

மேற்கூறியவாறு ஐம் கிலீம் ஓம் என்று மானசீகமாக உச்சரித்து தியானத்தின்மூலம் கணபதியையும் வல்லபையையும் தினமும் தரிசித்தால் நெறி எனப்படும் குண்டலினியின் பாதை, உயருணர்வின் பாதை சித்தியாகும் என்றும் அந்தப் பாதியில், வழிமுறையில் கணபதியும் வல்லபையும் நின்றிலங்குவார்கள் என்றும் அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார்.  இதனோடு அனைத்து சித்திகளும் கைக்குள் வரும் என்றும் அவர் கூறுகிறார்.  இதனை அடுத்து அந்த சித்திகள் பற்றி அவர் கூறத்தொடங்குகிறார்.

“அவையடக்கம்” என்ற சொல் சபையில் எவ்வாறு அடக்கமாக இருப்பது என்பதையும் எவையெல்லாம் ஒன்றினுள் அடக்கம் என்றும் பொருள் தருகிறது.  இங்கு “அவையடக்கம் கூறுகிறேன்” என்று அகத்தியர் சொல்லும்போது அந்த சித்திகளுக்குள் எதெல்லாம் அடக்கம் என்று கூறுவதாகப் பொருள் கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்று அடுத்தபாடலில் தெரிகிறது.
