161. The end goal of all the four paths

Verse 161

தாமென்ற சரியைவழி நடந்தாலென்ன

தன்னறிவாய்க் கிரியைவழி நடந்தாலென்ன

வோமென்ற யோகவெளி நடந்தாலென்ன

உத்தமனே ஞானமதில் உறைந்தாலென்ன

ஆமென்ற பூரணமே தானென்றெண்ணி

அனுப்பான தமர்வாசல் அதிலே சென்று

நாமென்ற ஐந்தெழுத்தில் இரண்டைப் பற்றி

நாதாந்த வெளியொளியில் நாடினாரே

Translation:

What if you one walks the path of charya

What if one walks with awareness in the path of kriya

What if one walks in the path of yoga whch is OM

What is you remain embedded in wisdom, The Supreme One!

Considering that the fully complete as Self

Going through the gates of the beloved

Holding two of the five letters

They sought in the light of the space of nadhantha.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar says that it does not matter which path one follows.  The end goal is to seek the effulgence of the space of nadhantha.

சரியை, கிரியை, யோகம், ஞானம் என்ற நான்கு வழிகளில் ஏதாவது ஒன்றில் சென்றாலும் முடிவில் ஒரு யோகி முயலுவது நாதாந்த ஒளி வெளியை நாடுவதே என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
