207. Another muppu sunnam

Verse 207

ஆசைப்பா முப்பூவும் பூரச்சுன்னம்

அதுதெளிந்த கெங்கையடா நாதம் நாதம்

பேச்சப்பா பெருகிநின்ற நாதத்துள்ளே

பெருகி நின்ற சுத்த சலம் விந்து சேர்த்து

மூச்சப்பா தானடங்க அண்டஞ் சேர்த்து

முத்தீயுந் தான் கூட்டிப் புடத்தைப் போடு

 காச்சப்பா புடமரிந்து காச்சிப்பாரு

கண்ணடங்காச் சுன்னமடா முப்பூகாணே

Translation:

Desire son, the muppu, it is poora sunnam (complete sunya)

It is the clear Ganga, nadha, nadha

Within the nadha where speech remained in excess

Adding the bindu, the pure water/movement

With the breath stopping, adding the andam (universe)/space

Kindling the three fires process it

Boil it, knowing the correct composition, see it after processing

The sunnam which is beyond vision, see the muppu.

Commentary:

This verse also talks about sunnam- sunya or the void.  Agatthiyar says that it is the clear Ganga and specifies it as nadha.  Within the nadha the bindu or movement is added and along with it the manifested world is added.  Thus the three entities are nadha, bindu and the manifested world.  Agatthiyar says that the triple fires should be started.  The fires are chandra, surya and agni. “pudam” means processing.  When this process is carried out the result is sunya or sunnam which overflows the eyes.

இப்பாடலும் சுன்னத்தைப் பற்றிப் பேசுகிறது.  சுன்னம் என்றால் சூனியம் என்று பார்த்தோம்.  அகத்தியர் பூர சுன்னம் என்பது என்ன என்று அடுத்து விளக்குகிறார். கங்கை எனப்படும் நாதம், விந்து அல்லது முதல் அசைவு மற்றும் அவற்றுடன் அண்டம் எனப்படும் வெளிப்பட்ட உலகம் ஆகிய மூன்றையும் சேர்த்து முத்தீயை எழுப்பிப் புடம்போட வேண்டும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  முத்தீ என்பது சந்திரன், சூரியன் மற்றும் அக்னி.  இவ்வாறு புடம் அறிந்து அவற்றைக் காச்சினால் கண்கொள்ளாதா சுன்னம் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
