203. Pulatthiyar is a Siddha, why?

Verse 203

தானான பஞ்சகெணந் தானே நின்று

தன்மையுடன் நின்று விளையாடலாச்சு

ஊனாகி நின்று விளையாடுஞ் சித்தை

உலகமதில் அறியாமல் உழன்று போனால்

வானான வடிவு பஞ்ச ரூபந்தன்னை

மார்க்கமுடன் கண்டு மன மகிழ்ச்சியானார்

கோனான குருபரம் வேறில்லை மைந்தா

குவலயத்தில் நீயுமொரு சித்தனாமே

Translation:

The pancha gana remained

In their state and started dancing.

If chith, the consciousness is not realized,

It (soul) dances in the world as body and whirls (in samsara)

The supreme form, the five forms,

Saw them in the proper way and became happy (those who realize this)

Son, guruparam is none other than this.

You are a siddha in the world.

Commentary:

The manifested world is the play of the pancha gana.  This is the truth.  This is consciousness, chith.  If people do not realize this they will remain as body instead of chith and lose themselves whirling through samsara.  Those who realize this truth will enjoy them in their true state and grow happy.  Agatthiyar says that the param which removes the darkness of ignorance is nothing other than this truth.  As Pulatthiyar knows this truth now Agatthiyar calls him a Siddha who remains in this world.

உலகமே இந்த பஞ்ச கணங்களின் விளையாட்டுதான்.  இதுதான் உண்மை.  இதுதான் சித்.  இதை உணராதவர்கள் உடலில் அடைபட்டு சம்சாரத்தில் உழலுவர்.  இதை அறிந்தவர்கள் இந்த உண்மையை அனுபவித்து மகிழ்வர் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  அஞ்ஞானம் என்ற இருட்டை நீக்கும் குரு, பரம்- இறைமை, இதுதான் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  இந்த உண்மையை அறிந்ததனால் புலத்தியர் இவ்வுலகில் சித்தர் என்று பட்டம் சூட்டுகிறார் அவர்.
