205. Explanation of Vaasi

Verse 205

பாரப்பா பூரணமே அண்டமாச்சு

பதிவான காரணமே பிண்டமாச்சு

நேரப்பா அண்டமொடு பிண்டம் ரெண்டும்

நேரறிந்து கொண்டவனே சித்தன் சித்தன்

சாரப்பா சௌமிய சாகரத்தில் நீயும்

தனியாயுடன் பூரணமாய்ச் சார்ந்துகொண்டால்

மேரப்பா அண்டபிண்டம் தானாய் நின்று

மேதினியில் பூரணமாய் வாசியாமே

Translation:

See son, the poornam became the universe

The kaarana became the body (pindam)

Along with the universe, the body

The one who knows about these is a siddha, siddha

You associate with it, in saumya sagaram

If you associate with the poorna

The Meru will remain as anda pinda

In the fully complete in this world is vaasi.

Commentary:

The Supreme Being, the Poorna became the universe, andam.  The kaarana or its creative power is the body or pindam.  Agatthiyar says that the one who knows this is a Siddha.  He tells Pulatthiyar that if Pulatthiyar associates with Saumya Sagaram with this knowledge the meru or the sushumna will remain as the embodiment of divinity.  This is vaasi, the life force.

பூரணம் அல்லது இறைமையே அண்டமாகிறது என்றும் காரணம் அல்லது சக்தி உடலாகிறது என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  சக்தியே உடல் உள்ளுறை சிவமே உயிர் என்று பிறிதொரு பாடல் தொகுப்பில் அவர் கூறியுள்ளார்.  இந்த உண்மையை அறிந்தவனே சித்தன் என்கிறார் அவர். இந்த ஞானத்துடன் சௌமிய சாகரத்தை புலத்தியர் சார்ந்தால் மேரு எனப்படும் தண்டம் அண்ட பிண்டமாக இருக்கும், அதாவது சக்தி சிவமாக இவ்வுலகில் நிலவும் அதுவே வாசி என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
