Verse 245

கேளப்பா சுரமுடனே சன்னிதீரும்

கெடியான குன்னமுடன் காசந்தீரும்

சூளப்பா வஞ்சனையும் ஏவல் தீரும்

சுருக்கான பலவிஷமுந் தோஷந்தீரும்

வாளப்பா கரப்பானோடு கெர்ப்ப டகம்

வயற்றிலுள்ள திரட்சியெல்லாம் வாங்கிப் போகும்

ஆளப்பா அஷ்டதிசைக் கரசாய் நின்று

ஆதியென்ற பூரணத்தில் அழுந்தலாமே

Translation:

Listen son, fever and pneumonia will be cured

Also leprosy and tuberculosis will be cured

All magical spells will be cured

Several types of poisons and vitiations of humor will be cured

Along with skin diseases and diseases during pregnancy

All the accumulation in the stomach (fat?) will be removed

Remaining as the lord of the eight directions

One can immerse in the Origin, the fully complete (purna).

Commentary:

Agatthiyar says that the above mentioned incantatation for ashta Ganapathy will cure fever, pneumonia, tuberculosis, leprosy, magical spells poisons, vitiation of the three humors- vaata, pittha and kapha, skin diseases, diseases during pregnancy and childbirth and several accumulations in the stomach such as fat. One will remain as the lord of the eight directions and immerse in the Aaadhi, the Poorna

அஷ்ட கணபதி மந்திர யோகத்தால் பல நோய்கள் தீரும் என்று கூறிய அகத்தியர் இப்பாடலில் அந்த நோய்கள் எவை என்று பட்டியலிடுகிறார்.  அவை சுரம், ஜன்னி, குன்னம், காசநோய், ஏவல், வஞ்சனை, தோஷம், தோல் சம்பந்தமான நோய்கள்,கர்ப்ப சம்பந்தமுள்ள நோய்கள், வயிற்றில் கொழுப்பு முதலிய திரட்சி என்ற நோய்கள்.  இந்த சித்தி பெற்றால் ஒருவர் எட்டு திசைக்கும் அரசராக விளங்கலாம், ஆதியான பூரணத்துள் அமிழலாம் என்றும் அவர் கூறுகிறார்.
