244. Ashta Ganapathy mantra yogam for curing diseases

Verse 244

எண்ணமுடன் இடதுகையால் விபூதி வைத்து

ஏகாந்த கணபதியின் சுழியை நாட்டி

சொன்ன மொழி தவறாமற் சுடரைப் பார்த்து

சுத்தமுடன் ஓம் கிலி அங்கங்கென்று

தன்னகமே சாட்சியதாய் இருநூட்றெட்டுத்

தான் செபித்து விபூதியைநீ கடாட்சித்தாக்கால்

முன்னிறைந்த சற்குருவின் கடாக்ஷத்தாலே

மூர்க்கமுடன் தீருகிற வியாதி கேளே

Translation:

Placing the sacred ash on the left hand with contemplation

Establishing the whorl of the Ekantha Ganapathy

Seeing the flame without missing the promise

With purity reciting om kili ang ung

Remaining as a witness within, if you recite

208 times and if you offer the sacred ash

Due to the grace of the Sathguru

Listen to the diseases that will be cured, effectively.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar says that if the yogi holds the sacred ash on his left hand, inscribe the letter of Ganapathy- the உ chants the mantra om kili ang ung 208 times with focus within on the flame of the soul several diseases  will be cured due to Sathguru’s grace.  He will be listing the diseases in the next verse.

ஒரு யோகி, இடது கையில் விபூதியை வைத்து அதில் பிள்ளையார் சுழி எனப்படும் உ என்ற எழுத்தை எழுதி ஓம் கிலி அங் உங் என்ற மந்திரத்தை மனதுள் ஜோதியை தியானித்து இருநூற்றெட்டு முறை செபித்தால் சத்குருவின் அருளால் கொடுமையான் நோய்கள் தீரும் என்று அந்த நோய்களின் பட்டியலை அடுத்த பாடலில் கூறுகிறார் அகத்தியர்.
