வித்துவேஷணம்

பாரடா கிருசனத்தை சொன்னேன் மைந்தா

பதிவானவித் துவேஷணத்தைப் பகரக்கேளு

காரடா தென்மேற்கு முகமாய்க் கொண்டு

கருணையுடன் விபூதி உத்தளமாய்ப் பூசிச்

சாரடா வெள்ளை வஸ் திரமேற்கொண்டு

சங்கையுடன்பவள மணி கையில் வாங்கி

நேரடா உச்சிட்ட கணபதியின் சூக்ஷம்

நேர்மையுடன் சொல்லுகிறேன் நினைவாய்க் கேளே

Translation

Vidveshanam

Son, I told you about kirusanam (aakarshanam)

Now hear me speak about vidveshanam

Facing the south west

Adorn sacred ash with mercy

Adorn white cloth on top

Take the coral bead chain

Listen to the subtlety of ucchishta Ganapathy

I will tell you truthfully, you hear carefully

Commentary:

Agatthiyar starts to describe vidveshanam.  In the general sense it is said to create enemity between people.  Here Agatthiyar gives a different interpretation for this karma.  He says that the yogi should sit facing south west, adorn sacred ash, a white top cloth and hold a chain made of coral beads.  The deity who grants this siddhi is ucchishta Ganapathy.

அகத்தியர் அடுத்து வித்வேஷணத்தை விளக்கத் தொடங்குகிறார்.  பொதுவாக இந்த கர்மம் மக்களிடையே துவேஷத்தை ஏற்படுத்தப் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.  இந்த கர்மத்தின் உண்மையான நோக்கத்தை அகத்தியர் இங்கு கூறுகிறார்.  முதலில் அதற்கான சடங்குகளைக் கூறுகிறார்.  இதைச் செய்ய விரும்பும் யோகி தென் மேற்கு திசையை நோக்கி அமர்ந்து வெள்ளை மேலாடையை அணிந்து கையில் பவள மணியைக் கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்று அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார்.  இந்த சித்திக்கு அதிபதி உச்சிஷ்ட கணபதி என்று அவர் கூறுகிறார்.
