Verse 430

வாங்கியிரு கலையறிந்து மவுனமா

மவுனமென்ற மாங்கனியை கனிவாயுண்க

ஓங்கிஎழு சபைதாண்டப் பிலமுண்டாகும்

ஒடுங்கி மனக்கால் கெதியை ஊணிப் பாரு

பாங்குபெற அண்டரண்டஞ் சுற்றி மீளும்

பரஞான ஸ்ரீ கோணத் தாயினாட்டு

மாங்கனி தானுண்ட பிலங் கெதியுண்டாச்சு

மகத்தான சூக்ஷமென்ற சூக்ஷம் பாரே

Translation:

Receiving it knowing the two kala,

The silence, the mango fruit, consume it with mercy

The strength to cross the seven sabhas will occur

For the mind to abide, see the gati (flow) of the breath

It will roam around the universes in a proper way

The land of the Parajnana Srikona mother

The speed/path with the strength from consuming the mango fruit occurred

Commentary:

Agattiyar says that when the mango fruit, the supreme silence, is consumed the yogin with get the strength to cross the seven cakras or sabhas.  The path that the breath traverses should be watched to make the mind abide in quietitude.  The vaasi will roam around the universe, the path of Sakthi whom Agatthiyar calls as the “Parajnana srikona thaai”.

This verse reminds us of the story of Ganesha and Subramanya competing for the mango fruit.  While Ganesha got it after circumambulating Siva and Sakthi Muruga goes around the world on his peacock.

Ganesha represents the kundalini sakthi which reaches the state where sakti and siva are together, when nadha and bindu are together. This state results in the mango fruit of the great silence.  Muruga on the other hand travels on ahamkara in the external world.  His journey was external instead of being inwards and hence he lost out on the mango fruit.  This seems to be the inner meaning of the story. Ganesha travelled the worlds created internally by the cakra. 

மாங்கனி எனப்படும் மவுனத்தை உட்கொண்டால் ஏழு சபைகளைத் தாண்டுவதற்குத் தேவையான பலம் கிடைக்கும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர். இந்த மௌனம் வாசியால் ஏற்படுகிறது என்று முந்தைய பாட்டில் கூறினார்.  இத்துடன் மனத்தை அடக்க வேண்டும் என்றால் மூச்சின் கதியைக் கவனிக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் கூறுகிறார்.  இந்த வாசி அண்டரண்டம் முழுவதும் சுழன்று திரியும் என்றும் அவர் கூறுகிறார்.  அது திரியும் பாதையை பர ஞான ஸ்ரீ கோணத் தாயின் கதி என்கிறார் அவர். 

இப்பாடல் முருகனும் கணபதியும் மாங்கனிக்காக போட்டியிட்ட கதையை நினைவுபடுத்துகிறது.  கணபதி சிவசக்திகளை பிரதட்சணம் செய்து மாங்கனியைப் பெற்றார்.  அதாவது நாத பிந்துக்கள் ஒன்றாக இருக்கும் நிலையை அடைந்து மாங்கனியைப் பெற்றார்.  அவர் மேற்கொண்ட பாதை உள்ளே குண்டலினியின் கதி.  முருகனோ அகங்காரமான மயிலின் மேல் ஏறி வெளியுலகைச் சுற்றி வந்தார்.  அவருக்கு மாங்கனி கிடைக்கவில்லை.  இதுவே இந்தக் கதையின் சூட்சுமப் பொருளாகத் தோன்றுகிறது.
