416. Seeing Siva rupa and Adhi

Verse 416

பாரப்பா பதியறிந்து குருவைக் கண்டு

பத்தியுடன் சத்திசிவ பூசை பண்ணி

காரப்பா கருணைவிளி மலர்க்கண்ணாலே

கமலமென்ற புருவநடு கண்ணைப் பற்றி

நேரப்பா நின்றதினால் மைந்தா மைந்தா

நிசமான சிவரூபம் கண்ணிற்காணும்

தேரப்பா சிவரூபங் கண்ணால் கண்டு

தெளிந்து மனங் கொண்டதினால் ஆதி பாரே

Translation:

See son, knowing the locus and seeing the guru,

Performing sakthi siva puja

See it with the merciful flower-eyes

Holding to the lotus, the eye in the middle of the brow

Son, Son, because of remaining straight

The true sivaroopa will be seen

Seeing the sivaroopa and becoming an expert

Becoming clear and adorning the mind, see the Adhi.

Commentary:

The locus mentioned here is the brow middle.  Agatthiyar tells Pulathiyar to see the guru and perform Sakthi and Siva puja.  Worship of Siva and Sakthi means merging the nadha and bindhu together.  It is the process of merging the distinctions, dualities.  Then one will see the Siva roopa here.  If one see the siva rupa then one’s mind will become clear and one will see the Adhi.

இங்கு அகத்தியர் பதம் என்று குறிப்பிடுவது ஆக்ஞையை.  இந்த  குருபதத்தைப் பார்த்து, சிவசக்தி பூசை செய்து மூன்றாம் கண் எனப்படும் ஆக்ஞையைப் பற்றி நின்றால் ஒருவர் சிவரூபத்தைப் பார்ப்பார் என்றும் அவ்வாறு பார்த்தால் மனம் தெளிவடைந்து ஆதியின் தெரிசனம் கிட்டும் என்றும் அகத்தியர் புலத்தியருக்குக் கூறுகிறார்.

சிவசக்தி பூசை என்பது நாத பிந்துக்களைச் சேர்ப்பது.  இரண்டாக இருக்கும் நிலையை ஒன்றாக்குவது.  இதுவே ஆதி நிலை.
