388. Jagat jyothi, Thiru

Verse 388

பார்க்க வெள்ளி தங்கமாய மாகப் போச்சு

பரஞான சேகரியின் வாசத்தாலே

வேர்க்கையுடன் சிவயோகந் தங்கிப் போச்சு

ஏகாந்த அஷ்டகர்மஞ் சித்தியாச்சு

சேர்க்கையுடன் ஆதார மூல பீடம்

திருவான பீடமதைத் தியானம் பண்ணித்

தீர்க்கமுடன் நீ இருந்து வாசிஏறி

ஜெக தீபமான செயல் தான்தானாமே

Translation:

Then, the silver becomes golden

Because of Para jnana kechari’s residence there

Along with sweat the sivayogam became permanent

The singular, ashta karma were accomplished

Along with merging with adhara mula peeta

Contemplating the sacred peetam

You remain with the vaasi having ascended

This action results in the world turning into light/ you become a great effulgence.

Commentary:

This verse talks about the next step after consciousness reaching the chandra mandala.  Beyond this the actions occur without any effort on the yogin’s part.  The body then becomes golden- ponnaar meni.  Agatthiyar says that this is because of Para jnana kechari.  Supreme wisdom/consiocusness which is all pervading.  This state is called Thiru.  Peetam means dais as well as status.  The soul attains the supreme status of Thiru.  The vasi will be in the supreme position.  This action turns the world into effulgence- jagat become jyothi. This action results in self attaining its original state of jyothi.

இந்தப் பாடல் முற்பாடலின் அடுத்த நிலையைக் கூறுகிறது.  சந்திர மண்டலத்தைத் தாண்டி நடைபெறும் செயல்கள் தானாக நடைபெறுபவை.  அப்போது வெள்ளி தங்கமயமாகும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  அதாவது உடல் தங்கமயமாகும் என்கிறார் அவர்.  இது பர ஞான கேசரியின் வாசத்தால் ஏற்படுகிறது என்றும் அவர் கூறுகிறார்.  இந்த நிலையே திரு எனப்படுகிறது.  இது பீடம் அல்லது ஒரு நிலை, ஒரு தகுதி ஆகும்.  இந்த நிலையில் வாசி உச்சத்தில் இருக்கிறது.  அப்போது ஜெகம், உலகம் சோதியாகிறது. அதாவது பலவாக உள்ள உலகம் ஒருமை நிலையான சோதி நிலையை அடைகிறது.  இந்த செயல் தான் தானாகும் செயல் ஆத்மா தனது உண்மையான நிலையான சோதி நிலையை அடையும் செயல் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
