15. This book is the Kailaya merugiri deepam

Verse 15

பண்ணப்பா சௌமியத்தை பூசைபண்ணு

பதிவான சாகரத்தை அறிந்துகொண்டு

எண்ணப்பா வென்று தன்னை மறந்திடாதே

இகபரசாதனம் முழுதும் இதுவே சித்தி

முன்னப்பா சொன்ன சாஸ்திரங்களெல்லாம்

முன்பின்னாய்ப் பூரணத்திற் சேர்க்கச் சொன்னோம்

கண்ணப்பா கண்மணிபோல் இந்த நூல்தான்

கைலாச மேருகிரி தீபமாச்சே

Translation:

Son, worship the Saumya sagaram

Knowing the sagaram

Think son, winning it (becoming a expert in it) do not forget yourself

All the methods for attainments, in this world and the next

All the sastra said before

We told to join the poornam before and after

This book, is as precious as the ball in the eye,

It is the lamp of the kailasa meru giri.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar describes the greatness of the saumya sagaram.  He says that one should eulogize this book as it will grant all the benefits, in this world and beyond. All the sastras uttered before wil take the soul to the poornam or the divine at different points.  This book, on the other hand, is the pinnacle, the most precious as the apple of the eye.  It is the lamp in the kailasa merugiri.  This term refers to the supreme state.  The sahasrara is usually described as kailasa, peak of the Meru Mountain.

அகத்தியர் இந்த நூலின் பெருமையை இப்பாடலில் விளக்குகிறார். இந்த நூல் அனைத்து சாத்திரங்களினும் உயர்ந்தது ஏனெனில் அது இக பர சித்தியை அளிக்கும்.  அதனால் ஒருவர் இதனைக் கற்றுத் தேர்ந்து இதைப் பூஜிக்க வேண்டும்.  பெற்ற சித்தியினால் தன்னிலையை மறந்துவிடக்கூடாது.  கண்ணின் மணியைப் போல விளங்கும் இந்த நூல் கைலாச மேரு கிரியில் இட்ட தீபமாகும்.  பரவுணர்வு நிலையில் காணப்படும் பரவொளி யாகும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
