82. Effect of Shanmukha dhyanam

Verse 82

ஓதியதோர் நாழிகையில் மைந்தா கேளு

உண்மையுள்ள சண்முகனார் வடிவேல் கொண்டு

நீதியுடன் உன்னகத்தில் தானே நின்று

நினைத்தபடி நின்று விளையாடும் பாரு

ஆதியுடன்ஆதார சொரூபமாகி

ஆறுமுகமான செயலார்தான்காண்பார்

சோதிஎன்ற சொரூபமத்தில் ஆறுமுகமாகி

துலங்குதடா சுடரொளியைத் தூண்டிப்பாரே

Translation:

After reciting the mantra for a nazhigai (24 minutes) Son,

The truthful Sanmukha holding the lance

Will stand within your heart justfully

Will play as wished

Along with being the origin, adorning the form of the adhara

One will see the action of the six faced one

The six faces will occur in the form-the flame

And glisten, increase the light of the flame and see it.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar mentioned in the previous verse that the mantra for Shanmukha dhyana is om kili sim.  In this verse he says that if one recites this mantra for a “naazhigai” or twenty four minutes one will be blessed with the sight of Shanmukhan.  It will appear with the lance, which represents jnana, and will remain within the yogi’s heart conferring all sorts of experiences.  Agatthiyar mentions that the six-faced form with appear within the form, the flame.  Hence, one should increase the light of the flame and experience it.

முந்தைய பாடலில் அகத்தியர் சண்முகத் தியானத்திற்கான மந்திரம் ஓம் கிலி சிம் என்று கூறினார்.  இப்பாடலில் அவர் இந்த மந்திரத்தின் பலனைக் கூறுகிறார்.  இந்த மந்திரத்தை ஒருவர் ஒரு நாழிகை அல்லது இருபத்து நான்கு நிமிடங்கள் செபித்தால் சண்முகனார் வடிவேலுடன் தோன்றுவார் என்கிறார் அவர்.  வடிவேல் என்பது ஞான சக்தியைக் குறிக்கும்.  சண்முகனார் என்ற சொல் முருகனைக் குறித்தாலும் அது ஜோதி சொரூபம் ஆருமுகமாகத் துலங்குவது என்று அகத்தியர் இப்பாடலின் கடைசியில் கூறுகிறார்.  அதனால் ஒருவர் உள்ளொளியைத் தூண்டி இந்த தரிசனத்தைப் பெறுமாறு அவர் பரிந்துரைக்கிறார்.
