107. A jnani will remain as aham brahmasmi

Verse 107

ஆமப்பா வாதியந்தப்பொருள் தானென்றும்

அடங்கிநின்ற பஞ்ச கர்த்தாள் அது தானென்றும்

தாமப்பா சத்தி சிவம் தான் தானென்றும்

தண்மையுள்ள பஞ்ச கர்த்தாள் தான் தானென்று

ஓமப்பா ஏழுவகை உலகமெல்லாம்

உறுதி கொண்டு தானாகத் தான்தானென்று

சோமப்பா நான்தானே அவன் தானென்றுஞ்

சோதி மயமாயிருப்பார் ஞானி தானே

Translation:

Yes, son, the discussing one, as that entity

The abiding five performers as that/self

The self as Sakthi and Siva

As the merciful five doers as self

The seven worlds

Being self, with fortitude

The “I am Him”

The jnani (wise one) is one who remains as jyothi (effulgence).

Commentary:

Agatthiyar says that the jnani or the one who has reached the step of jnana will remain as the supreme entity, the five doers or performers namely Sadasiva, Maheswara, Rudra, Vishnu and Brahma and the seven worlds- bhu, bhuvar, suvar, maha, tapa, jana and satyam.  He will remain with the consciousness “I am Him”- Aham Brahmasmi.  He will remain as the effulgence or flame.

ஞான நிலையை அடைந்தவர் தானே சக்தி சிவமாக, பஞ்ச கர்த்தாள் எனப்படும் சதாசிவன், மகேஸ்வரன், ருத்திரன், விஷ்ணு, பிரம்மாவாக, ஏழு உலகங்களாக- பூ புவர், சுவர், மகர், தப, ஜன மற்றும் சத்தியம் இருப்பார்.  அவர் “நானே அவன்” அல்லது அகம் பிரம்மாஸ்மி என்ற நிலையில் சோதிமயமாக இருப்பார் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
