456. Nadhantha bodha state

Verse 456

பாரடா சத்தி சிவ பூசைபண்ணி

பறைஞான வாலைரசம் பதிவாய்க் கொண்டால்

நேரடா ஆதாரஞ் சித்தியாகும்

நிலையான வாசியது அகலாதய்யா

சாரடா நாதாந்தப் போதத்தேகி

சங்கையுடன் சற்குருவை தியானம் பண்ணி

ஏறடா பஞ்சகண தீட்சையாலே

எட்டான அஷ்டசித்துந் திட்டமாகும்.

Translation:

See son, performing Sakti Siva puja

If the juice of Parai gnana vaalai is consumed

The adhara siddhi will be attained

The vaasi will remain fixed, will not waver

Join this, going to nadhantha bodham

Contemplating on the satguru

Climb by the pancha gana deeksha

The eight mystical accomplishments (ashta sittu) will be attained.

Commentary:

The Parai jnana vaalai rasam is the divine nectar.  By consuming it the yogin attains ashta sittu or eight mystical accomplishments.  There are two types of eight accomplishments.  They are ashta karma such as enchantment, attraction (mohanam, vasyam etc) and the eight siddhis such as anima, mahima (becoming miniscular, becoming giant sized and so on).  These are attained when the yogin reaches the nadhantha bodham state.  It is the state beyond the nadhantha.  It is the state of pure awareness or bodham.

பறை ஞான வாலை ரசம் என்பது அமிர்தமாகும்.  இதைப் பருகினால் அஷ்ட சித்து திட்டமாகும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  இந்த வழிமுறையை அவர் சக்திசிவ பூசை என்கிறார்.  இந்தப் பூசையினால் ஒருவர் நாதாந்த போத நிலையை அடைகிறார்.  அந்த நிலையில் சத்குருவை தியானம் செய்தால் பஞ்ச கண தீட்சையலே உச்ச நிலையை அடையும்போது அஷ்ட சித்தும் வசப்படும் என்கிறார் அவர்.  அஷ்ட சித்தி எனப்படுவது அணிமா, மகிமா போன்றவை, அஷ்ட கர்மங்கள் என்பவை மோகனம், வசியம் போன்றவை.  இவை நாதாந்த போத நிலையை அடையும்போது கிட்டுகின்றன.
