439. Praise of Devi

Verse 439

கண்ணான கமலிதிரி சூலி வாமி

காரணமே பூரணமே கமலத்தாயே

விண்ணான சபைதனிலே நடனமாடி

வேதாந்தப் பேரொளியாய் நின்றதாயே

முன்னான கண்மணியே ரூபா ரூபி

முதலான பூரணமே அருமைக்கண்ணே

ஒண்ணான பூரணமாய் என்னாளுநதான்

ஓமென்ற மூலமந்திர சத்திமாதே

Translation:

The beloved/eye, kamali, tirisooli, vaami,

The kaaranam, pooranam, the mother lotus

Dancing in the sabha of space/sky

The Mother who sttod as the Great effulgence of Vedanta

The jewel of the eye, the one with form and without a form

The primal pooranam, the beloved, dear/eye

As the poornam, everyday

The maiden who is the om, the mulamantra satyam.

Commentary:

This verse is an eulogy to Mother, Devi in Sricakra.  Agatthiyar praises her as Kamali, Trisooli or the one with the trident, vaami the one who is the prana, the causality, the fully complete, the mother of the lotus or chakra, the mother who dances in the arena of the sky, the great effulgence beyond knowledge, the one with and without form and the Om or the mulamantra satya maadhu/lady.

இப்பாடல் தேவியைப் போற்றுவதாக உள்ளது.  அகத்தியர் ஸ்ரீ சக்கரத்தில் உள்ள தேவியை கமலி, திரிசூலி, வாமை, காரணம், பூரணம், கமலத் தாய், விண் என்னும் சபையில் நடனமாடும் வேதாந்தப் பேரொளி, கண்ணின் மணி, ஆதி பூரணம், ஓம்கார மூலமந்திர சத்தியம் என்று பலவாறு போற்றித் துதிக்கிறார்.
