452. Other benefits of om reeng

Verse 452

உண்டாகும் ஓம் றீங் மசிமசி என்றோத

ஒடுங்காத காலகடி விஷங்கள் மீளுந்

தாண்டாமல் ஓம் றீங் அங்கென்றோத

தட்டழிந்து மிருகமெல்லாந் தானே ஓடும்

நன்றாகச் சொன்னதிந்த மந்திர வாளை

நாட்டமுடன் பூரணமாய் பூசைபண்ணி

நின்றாட யாதொருகால் எழுத்துக்கெல்லாம்

நிசமான மந்திரவாள் ஓம்றீங் என்னே

Translation:

Reciting om reeng masi masi

All the poisons, insect bites will be relieved

Reciting om reeng ang

All the animals will run away

This magical sword was described well

Worshiping it as poornam, with interest,

The air will remain dancing in one place.  For all the letters

The true magical sword is om reeng.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar says that when om reeng is combines with masimasi it will provide relief for insect bites, poisons.  When it is uttered as om reeng ang all the animals will run away without harming the person.  When these letter, om reeng is recited considering it as poornam or fully complete then the vital air will remain in kumbakam.  Thus, according to Agatthiyar om reeng is the magical sword for all the bhija akshara or letters.

ஓம் றீங் என்ற எழுத்துடன் மசிமசி என்று ஓத எல்லாவிதமான கடிகளும் விஷங்களும் விலகும்.  ஓம் றீங் அங் என்று ஓத எல்லா தீய விலங்குகளும் விலகி ஓடிவிடும் என்று கூறும் அகத்தியர் ஓம் றீங் என்ற எழுத்துக்களை பூரணமாகக் கருதி பூசித்தால் கால் எனப்படும் பிராணன் நின்று ஆடும், அதாவது, கும்பகத்தில் நிற்கும் என்கிறார்.  இவ்வாறு எல்லா எழுத்துக்களுக்கும் ஓம் றீங் என்பது மந்திரவாளாகச் செயல்படுகிறது என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
