445. Vaalai puja, the magical sword, the worship with intellect

Verse 445

பண்ணப்பா பூசை நவ கும்ப பூசை

பத்தி கொண்டு சத்தமதாய் சத்தி பூசை

விண்ணப்பா நிறைந்த திரு மந்திரவாளாய்

விளங்குகின்ற வேதாந்த வாலைபூசை

கண்ணப்பா நிறைந்ததிரு வாலைபூசை

காரணமும் பூரணமாய் நின்ற பூசை

முன்னப்பா செய்தவத்தால் பலிக்கும் பூசை

புத்தியுள்ள பூசையடா சித்தி தானே

Translation:

Perform son, the worship of nine pots

Having devotion, as sound, the Sakti puja.

As the magical sword that fills the sky

The Vedanta Vaalai Puja.

The sacred Vaalai puja that filled the eye

The puja where the causality stood as fully complete

The puja will become fruitful because of the tapas performed before

The puja with buddhi.  Only siddhi.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar tells us an important information here.  He says the magical sword is the worship of the nine pots or the nava graha.  The sword is that which fills the eye of discrimination, the sky principle.  It is the puja of Vaalai or Bala and that it will become fruitful by the tapas performed before.  This puja is performed with the intellect or buddhi.  Thus, the sword is intellect cutting away the illusions, the opening of the eye of discrimination, the third eye.  Thus, Agatthiyar is talking about one of the aspects of internal senses, the buddhi or intellect.

இப்பாடலில் அகத்தியர் ஒரு முக்கியமான கருத்தைக் கூறுகிறார். மந்திர வாள் என்பது விண்ணை நிறைத்து இருப்பது, கண்ணை நிறைப்பது, வாலை பூஜை.  அந்த பூஜை முன் செய்த தவத்தால் பலனளிக்கும்.  அதனை புத்தியால் செய்யவேண்டும்.  அப்போது சித்தி கிட்டும் என்கிறார் அவர்.  இதனால் மந்திரவாள் என்பது மாயையின் கட்டை புத்தியால் விலக்குவது, மூன்றாவது கண்ணை விழிக்கச் செய்வது என்பது புலப்படுகிறது.  இந்தச் செயல் புத்தியால், பகுத்தறிவால் செய்யப்படுவது என்பது புரிகிறது.
