78. Mystical accomplishments attained by ravi dhyanam

Verse 78

தேக மென்ற தேகமடா தேவரூபந்

திருவான ரூபமதை பூசைபண்ணி

பாகமுடன் விபூதியை நீ தியானஞ்செய்து

பாருகளில் மானிடர்க்குக் கடாட்சித்தாக்கால்

ஆகமுடன் சகலசவு பாக்கியம் பெற்று

அருள் பெருக பூரணமாய் இருந்துவாழ்வார்

ஏகமென்ற பூரணத்தின் கிருபையாலே

என் மகனே சுடரினுட தியானங் கேளே

Translation:

The body, the form will be like the celestials

Worshipping the sacred form

After contemplating if you

Offer the sacred ash to people in the world

They will attain all riches and wellbeing

They will live a complete life with grace flowing

Due to the mercy of the singularity, the fully complete,

My Son!  Hear about the dhyana of the flame.

Commentary:

After describing the hue of the body following the ravidhyana Agatthiyar describes the accomplishment of a yogi who attains this state.  When he contemplates on the form with the golden hue, as he is now the embodiment of consciousness, if he offers sacred ash to people all their wishes will be fulfilled and they will live a happy and rich life.  Agatthiyar will be describing the dhyana for the flame in the next verse.  The flame described here is the atma jyothi which is experienced at the middle of the brow or ajna cakra.

ரவிதியானத்தை விளக்கிய அகத்தியர் இப்பாடலில் அதனால் பெறும் சித்தியைக் கூறுகிறார்.  தேகத்தின் மயிர்க்கால் எல்லாம் ஒளிர தண்டுவடம் ஒளிபெற்று அதன் உச்சியில் சூரியனைப் போன்ற பிரகாசத்தைக் கண்ட யோகி அந்தக் காட்சியை, உருவத்தை பூசை பண்ணி உலகத்தோருக்கு விபூதி அளித்தால் அவர்கள் சகல சம்பத்துக்களையும் பெற்று பெருவாழ்வு வாழ்வர் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  இதனை அடுத்து அவர் சுடர் தியானத்தை விளக்கப்போவதாகக் கூறுகிறார்.  இங்கு சுடர் எனப்படுவது ஆத்ம சோதி. அதை புருவமத்தியில் காணலாம்.
