Verse 75

போமப்பா சகலபிணி ரோகமெல்லாம்

பூரணச் சந்திரனுடைய பிறப்பைக் கண்டால்

காமப்பால் காணற்பால் கருணை தங்கும்

கலையான வாசியது கடக்காதப்பா

சோமப்பால் சொலிக்குமடா அந்தப்பாலை

அந்தமுடன் நித்தியமுங் கொண்டாயாகில்

தாமப்பா தன்னிலையே தான்தானாகுந்

தானான ஆதார மூலம் பாரே

Translation:

All the diseases and ailments will leave

When the birth of the fully complete moon’s birth is witnessed

When the desires elements are seein mercy will remain

The vaasi, the kala will not exceed

The essence of the moon will shine. 

If you consume that milk daily

The state of self will become the Self

Commentary:

Agatthiyar is talking about three types of “paal”.  They are kaamappaal or the milk from the breast, kaaNarpaal the essence of desire or the worldly objects and somappaal the milk of the moon.  According to the Siddhas, if one gives up kaamappaal and kaanar paal then somappaal or the secretion from the lalata will ooze.  Here Agatthiyar is describing the same concept. He says that when one experiences the  emergence of the poorna Chandra then the desires towards worldly objects including physical pleasure will vanish and only mercy or love towards everything remains.  In this state the vaasi will remain within, life force will not be wasted and the milk from the moon will ooze.  The somappaal is also called “amudhappaal” or the nectar like milk, “maangaaippaal” or the milk of the mango (this is due to the structure from which the secretion occurs) and by several other names. This divine nectar is said to confer immortality.  Agatthiyar says that if one consumes this fluid daily then one will be free of physical limitations and attachments.  One will remain in the state of Self.  The limited self will become universal Self.

இப்பாடலில் அகத்தியர் மூவகையான பால்களைப் பற்றிப் பேசுகிறார்.  அவை காமப்பால், காணற்பால் மற்றும் சோமப்பால் என்பவை.  காமப்பால் என்பது முலைப்பால், காணற்பால் அல்லது கானற்பால் என்பது உலகப்பொருட்களில் ஆசை. சோமப்பால் என்பது லலாடத்திலிருந்து ஊறும் அமுதம்.  காமப்பாலையும் காணற்பாலையும் தவிர்த்தால் சோமப்பால் ஊறும், ஒருவர் அதைத் தினமும் பருகினால் தான் என்ற நிலையில் இருப்பார் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  இந்த சோமப்பாலை சித்தர்கள் அமுதப்பால், மாங்காய்ப்பால் (அது சுரக்கும் இடத்தின் உருவை வைத்து) என்றுபல பெயர்களில் அழைக்கின்றனர்.
