61. Benefit of the manipurakam practice

Verse 61

கார்க்கவுரு செபித்த நடு புருவமதில்

கண்ணுமனக் கண்ணாலே நன்றாய்ப் பார்த்தால்

மார்க்கமுடன் லட்சுமியும் விஷ்ணு தேவர்

மகத்தான பூரண ச் சந்திரன்போல் மைந்தா

யேர்க்கையுடன் இருதயத்தில் காணும் பாரு

இன்பமுள்ள தரிசனத்தைக் கண்டாயானால்

தீர்க்கமுள்ள சிவயோக வாழ்வு பெற்று

செல்வபதி யாயிருப்பாய் தினமும் நோக்கே

Translation:

If chanted so, if the middle of the brow

Is seen well by the mental eye,

Lakshmi and Vishnu Deva will appear

Like a glorious full moon, Son.

This will be seen in the heart

If you see this vision

You will attain the great life of sivayogam

You will remain prosperous. See this daily.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar described a mantra and yantra specific for manipurakam in the previous verse.  Here he says that if the mantra is uttered and the focus is kept at the middle of the brow, at the ajna cakra one can obtain the vision of Lakshmi and Vishnu.  This vision will be experienced at the heart.  One who attains this experience will live a life of Sivayogam and he will become the lord of all wealth, selvapathi.  Agatthiyar advises that this procedure should be performed daily.

முந்தைய பாடலில் மனிபூரகத்திற்கான யந்திரத்தையும் மந்திரத்தையும் ஜெபிக்கும் முறையையும் கூறிய அகத்தியர் இப்பாடலில் அப்பயிற்சியினால் ஏற்படும் பயனைக் கூறுகிறார்.  மேற்கூறிய மந்திரத்தை ஜெபித்தபடி மனக்கண்ணால் புருவ மத்தியை நோக்கினால் இதயத்தில் லட்சுமி மற்றும் விஷ்ணுவின் உருவங்கள் தோன்றும் என்றும் அதை அனுபவிக்கும் ஒருவர் சிவயோக வாழ்வை வாழ்வார் பெரும் செல்வத்துக்கு அதிபதியாக இருப்பார் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  மேலும் அவர், இந்தப் பயிற்சியை ஒருவர் தினமும் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்றும் கூறுகிறார்.
