229. Aaksarshanam-1

ஆக்கிருஷணம்

சித்தியுடன் சாடனத்தைச் சொன்னேன் மைந்தா

தீர்க்கமுடன் கிருசனத்தை செப்பக் கேளு

முக்தியுடன் பேசுதற்கு முகமாய்க் கொண்டு

மோனமுடன் விபுதி உத்தளமாய்ப் பூசி

பத்தியுடன் பட்டுவஸ்திர மேலேகொண்டு

பதிவாகப் படிகமணி கையில் வாங்கி

புத்தியுடன் வாலை கணபதியின் சூக்ஷம்

பூரணமாய் ஓம் கிலியென் றோதே

Translation:

Akrushanam

Son I told you about ucchaadanam siddhi

Now listen to me speak about kirushanam

To talk about it fully

Adorn the sacred ash silently

Wear silk clothes with devotion

Hold the spatika beads

Commentary:

Agatthiyar is describing aakarshanam or kirushanam the karma that attracts things towards the yogi.  For this karma the yogi wears silk clothes, adorns sacred ash and uses the crystal or spatika beads to recite the mantra om kleem.

Akarshanam has been mentioned in different contexts such as dhana aakarshanam.  We will restrict our description to what Agatthiyar says in these verses.

ஆகர்ஷணம் என்பது ஒன்றைத் தன்னை நோக்கி இழுப்பது.  இது பல விதங்களின் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.  உதாரணமாக தன ஆகர்ஷணம் என்பது பொருட்செல்வத்தை தன்னை நோக்கி வரவைப்பது.  நாம் ஆகர்ஷணம் என்று அகத்தியர் கூறும் பொருளில் மட்டும் இப்பாடல்களைப் பார்ப்போம்.

ஆகர்ஷண சித்தியைப் பெற ஒரு யோகி பட்டு வசிதிரத்தை மேலே கொண்டு விபூதியைமவுனமாகப் பூசி கையில் ஸ்படிக மணி மாலையைக் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு ஓம் க்லீம் அல்லது ஓம் கிலி என்ற மந்திரத்தை உச்சரிக்க வேண்டும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
