204. The way to make kaarana fit with poorna

Verse 204

சித்துமய மாவதற்கு மைந்தாமைந்தா

தீர்க்கமுடன காரமத்தை யாண்டு சேவி

முத்திபெற செபித்தபின்பு உகாரந்தன்னை

மூர்க்கமுடன் ஆண்டொன்று செபித்துக்கொள்ளு

பத்தியுடன் செபித்தபின்பு மகாரந்தன்னை

பாலகனே ஆண்டொன்று பதியாய்ச் சேவி

புத்தியுடன் இது மூன்றுஞ் செபித்துத் தீர்த்தால்

பூரணமுங் காரணமும் பொருந்தும் பாரே

Translation:

Son, son, to become the embodiment of chith (consciousness)

You worship akaara firmly for a year

After reciting it, to attain mukhti, the ukaara

Chant it for a year with force

After chanting it with devotion, the makaara

Little boy, you worship for a year as the Lord

If you complete chanting these three with intellect

The poorna (fully complete) will fit with kaarana (cause).

Commentary:

Agatthiyar says that the akaara should be recited for a year followed by chanting of ukaara for a year and makaara for a year each.  If this is performed with discrimination (buddhi) Agatthiyar says that kaarana or supreme cause and poorna or supreme entity will fit with each other.  This is the state of singularity.  Supreme consciousness and its power or the supreme cause fit with each other and become a single entity.

அகாரத்தை ஒரு வருடமும் அதைத் தொடர்ந்து உகாரத்தை ஒரு வருடமும் அதனை அடுத்து மகாரத்தை ஒரு வருடமும் செபிக்கவேண்டும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  இது புத்தியுடன் செய்யப்பட வேண்டும் என்றும் அவர் கூறுகிறார்.  அவ்வாறு செய்தால் காரணமும் பூரணமும் ஒன்றாகப் பொருந்தும் என்றும் அவர் தொடர்கிறார்.
