136. Creation of astronomical elements

Verse 136

காணவே விஷ்ணுமுனி பிரம்மனைத்தான்

கருதலையன் வந்துதித்தங் கேது சொல்வார்

பூணவே யசுபதியோ டிருபத்தேழும்

பொருந்துநவக் கிரகமது தானுண்டாக்கத்

தோணவே விளம்பின பின் மாது தானுஞ்

சொரூபமுள்ள சதாசிவ மயேசுரன்தானும்

பேணவே ருத்திரனு மாலுந்தானும்

பெருமையுடன் பரனினைக்க வந்தார் தானே

Translation:

Vishnu muni, thinking about Brahma

Who came there and told him the method.

Twenty seven starts along with asupathi (ashvini)

And the nine planets- to create them

After telling how to create them, the lady

Sadasiva and Maheswara

Nurturing, Rudra and Maal

Came there when Paran thought about them gloriously.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar is talking about creation of planets and stars.  This is the next stage in evolution.  The body soul complex was created first.  Consciousness, the flame, was enshrined there. Now the causes for various experiences- the nine planets and the stars were created. 

Our ancestors believed that what is present in the macrocosm is also present in the microcosm.  That is, the stars and planets in the sky have a corresponding component in the human body.  We shall see the relationship between the planets and cakras in our body in the coming verses. 

The causes for manifestation as astronomical elements are Sakthi, Sadasiva, Maheswara, Rudra, Vishnu and Brahma.  However, the process is initiated by Vishnumuni and Brahma, that is, the muladhara and svadishtana cakra.   

இப்பாடலில் அகத்தியர் கிரகங்களும் நட்சத்திரங்களும் எவ்வாறு தோன்றின என்று கூறுகிறார்.  பரிணாம விரிவின் அடுத்த நிலை இது.  உடல் உயிர் கூட்டுப்பொருள் உருவான பிறகு அதில் உணர்வு வந்து குடிகொண்டது.  அத்தகைய வஸ்து பலவித அனுபவங்களைப் பெறுவதற்கு காரணமாக இருப்பவை நட்சத்திரங்களும் கிரகங்களும். 

நமது முன்னோர்கள் அண்டத்தில் உள்ளதே பிண்டத்திலும் உள்ளது என்றனர்.  அதாவது வானில் உள்ள நட்சத்திரங்களுடனும் கிரகங்களுடனும் தொடர்புடைய பகுதிகள் நமது உடலிலும் உள்ளன.  அதனால் இந்த படைப்பு அண்டத்திலும் பிண்டத்திலும் ஏற்பட்டது என்று பொருள்.

இந்த படைப்பிற்குக் காரணமாக இருப்பவர்கள் சக்தி, சதாசிவன், மகேசுவரன், ருத்திரன், விஷ்ணு,பிரம்மன் ஆகியோர் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  ஆனால் இதற்கு மூல காரணமாக இருபவர்கள் விஷ்ணுவும் பிரம்மாவும் அதாவது மூலாதாரமும் சுவாதிஷ்டானமும்.
