163. Samadhi continued

Verse 163

பண்ணப்பா அதின் கீழே நாலடியில் மைந்தா

பதிவான ஆழமது எண்சாண் நீளம்

நண்ணப்பா நிதானமதாய் நன்றாய்ச் செய்து

நலமான கிரகமதிற் பிரவேசிக்க

உண்ணப்பா கற்பொடியுஞ் செங்கல் தூளும்

உத்தமனே திருநீறும் மூன்றும் ஒன்றாய்

முன்னப்பா செய்துகொண்டு பதனம் பண்ணி

முத்திகர மாவதற்கு முறைமை கேளே

Translation:

Created below that in four feet, Son!

In a depth of eight palm spans

Creating it patiently

To enter the house well

Fill with powdered stone, brick

And sacred ash- all three together

Processing it with these

Commentary:

The procedures listed in the verse are structural in nature.  Continuing the previous verse Agatthiyar says that after making a depression of three handspans, another depth of four feet should be dug and within it a depth of eight palmspans should be created.  This is the house within which the bodywill be placed.  This space should be filled with powdered stone, brick and sacred ash. 

அந்த சமாதியைப் பற்றி மேலும் விவரங்கள் கூறுகிறார் அகத்தியர்.  மூன்று சாண் ஆழம் பண்ணிய பிறகு நான்கடியில் எட்டு சாண் அளவு தோண்டவேண்டும் என்றும் அதுவே அந்த யோகியின் உடல் இருக்கப்போகும் வீடு என்று கூறுகிறார் அகத்தியர்.  அதில் கல்பொடி, செங்கல் பொடி மற்றும் விபூதியை இடவேண்டும் என்றும் கூறுகிறார் அவர்.
