Verse 154
கேளப்பா ரவிதனையே சூரியர்க்குத் தத்தங்
கிருபையுள்ள மதி தனியே சந்திரற்குத் தத்தம்
வாளப்பா சூடான சோதிதனை மைந்தா
மகத்தான செகச் சோதியிடமேசென்று
சூளப்பா எங்கும் நிரை பரத்தோடொப்பாய்த்
துலங்குதடா நட்சத்திரஞ் சோதிபோலே
காலப்பா தனையறிந்த பேருக்கெல்லாங்
கடாக்ஷமுடன் பராபரத்திற் கலந்தார்பாரே
Translation:
The Ravi was
offered to Surya
The mathi was
offered to Chandra
The heat,
jyothi, Son,
Was offered to
the great light of the world
Becoming equivalent
to the Param
It glistens
like the light of the stars
For those who
know about the prana
Merged with
the Paraparam with grace.
Commentary:
Ravi refers to
prana moving in the pingala nadi. It
also refers to exhalation. Mathi refers to prana flowing in the ida nadi as
well as inhalation. These nadis are also
called surya Chandra respectively. This
is the idea behind saying that God’s eyes are the Chandra surya (Chandra suryau
cha netre). These nadi end at ajna. The
heat and jyothi referred to next corresponds to agni, the fire of
kundalini. This, Agatthiyar says, was
offered to the light of the world. The
world is brought into awareness by kundalini shakthi.
When the
appropriate breath is offered to its respective nadi and brought to a balance
the person reaches elevated state of consciousness which results ultimately in
the state of Param. Aatthiyar says that
those who know this fact about the prana will merge with Paraparam or the
Supreme Divine.
ரவி என்பது பிராணன். இந்த பிராணன் பிங்கலை நாடியில் ஓடுகிறது. இதுவே சூரிய நாடி
எனப்படுகிறது. அதேபோல் மதி என்பது
சந்திரன், அது உள்மூச்சு, இடை நாடியில் ஓடுவது.
இவ்வாறு மூச்சு ஓடுவதையே ரவியை சூரியனுக்கும் மதியைச் சந்திரனுக்கும் தத்தம்
கொடுத்ததாக அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார். அடுத்து
கூறும் வெப்பம் அக்னியைக் குறிக்கும். இது
சுழுமுனை நாடியில் பாயும் குண்டலினி அக்னியாகும்.
இந்த அக்னியின் சக்தியினால்தான் நாம் காணும் உலகம் அவ்வாறு
தோன்றுகிறது. இவ்வாறு பிராணன் சரியான
நாடியில் ஓடும்போது முடிவில் அந்த ஜீவன் பராபரத்துடன் கலக்கிறது. இதைத்தான் இப்பாடலின் கடைசிவரி கூறுகிறது.
