Verse 529

லிங்க வேதை

தானென்ற சாதிலிங்கம் வேதை செல்வேன்

தவறாமல் லிங்கமது ஓர் பலமும் வாங்கி

கோனென்ற ரசமுடனே வங்கஞ் சேர்த்து

குருவான அரப்பொடியுங் கூடச் சேர்த்து

தேனென்ற நாதமதாய் நன்றாயாட்டி

செம்மையுடன் லிங்கமதுக்கு அங்கி பூட்டி

வானென்ற ரவிதனிலே மைந்தா நீயும்

வணக்கமுடன் காயவைத்து வரிசை கேளே

Translation:

I will tell you about the alchemy of jatilingam

Take a measure of lingam

Adding the king, rasa and vangam

Add the guru arappodi

Grind them well with the nadha, the honey

Adding fire to the lingam

Son, in the sky, the ravi

Dry it and listen to the process.

Verse 530

வரிசையுடன்கெந்தி அரிதாரம் வெள்ளை

மகத்தான கெவுரிகரி யுப்புத் துத்தம்

வரிசையுடன் வகைக்கு இரு களஞ்சிவாங்கி

உத்தமனே கல்வமத்தில் பொடித்துக்கொண்டு

கரிசனமாய் அயச்செம்பில் பொடியரை தானிட்டு

கனமாக கவசமதை அதின்மேல் வைத்து

புரசமுடன் புடம்போட்டு எடுத்துப் பாரு

புதுமை வெகு செந்தூரங் கண்கொள்ளாதே

Translation:

The gendhi aridhaaram white

The great gauri kari uppu thuttham (zinc)

Taking them two measures in that order

The supreme one! Powdering them in the mortar

Placing the powder in the lead copper

Placing a weighty shield over it

Process it with fire and see

The wonderful chendooram, it cannot be contained by sight.

Commentary:

The above two verses describes steps in alchemy.  We have seen the philosophical explanations in the previous verses.  We will not go through them again here.  In the following verses Agatthiyar talks about the benefits that one derives from this process.

மேலே உள்ள இரு பாடல்களும் ரசவாத வழிமுறைகளாகும்.  இப்பொருள்களின் தத்துவ விளக்கங்களை முன் பாடல்களில் பார்த்தோம்.  இதனால் ஏற்படும் செந்தூரம் அளிக்கும் பயனை அடுத்து வரும் பாடல்களின் அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார். அந்த தத்துவ விளக்கங்களை மேலே காண்போம்.
