276. See all the attachments and perform rechakam

Verse 276

ஆமாப்பா சத்தான வியாபாரத்தில்

ஆதாரம் வெகுகோடி அமர்ந்தாலுந்தான்

தாமப்பா அதின்மேலே அபேக்ஷைவிட்டால்

சங்கையுடன் மரியாதை இலட்சைஎன்பார்

சாமப்பா கேட்டிருந்த ஞானமெல்லாம்

சங்கையில்லா நிலைகுலைந்து தானேசந்தி

நாமப்பா சரியாமல் பெண்டீர்பிள்ளை

நன்மையுள்ள பாசமெல்லாம் ரேசிச்செண்ணே

Translation:

Yes son, in the effective exchange/in the action of sath

There are several crores of support,

If interest in them is dismissed

They will say it is respect, lakshya.

With all the wisdom heard

The great state faltering, meet them

Without us faltering as wife, offspring

All the attachments, think about them with rechakam

Commentary:

Agatthiyar continues the previous verse that one should not falter but understand the attachments such as wife and offspring (which are millions in number) clearly with the help of the wisdom learnt so far.  One should see them in their true state with  exhalation.  Exhalation signifies leaving things out, detachment.  During breathing the person leaves the breath during rechakam.  Along with the breath he also leave attachments, erroneous understandings etc.

அகத்தியர் முந்தைய பாடலில் கூறிய கருத்தை இங்கும் தொடருகிறார்.  ஒருவர் மனைவி, மக்கள் என்ற உறவுகளைப் பற்றி இதுவரை கேட்டிருந்த ஞானத்தின் உதவியால் சரியாகப் புரிந்துகொண்டு தனது நிலை சரியாமல் ரேசிக்க வேண்டும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர். ரேசகம் என்பது வெளிமூச்சு. சுவாசத்தின்போது ஒருவர் ரேசகம் என்னும் வெளி மூச்சில் தனக்குள் இருக்கும் காற்றை வெளிவிடுகிறார்.  அத்துடன் அவர் தான் விலக்கவேண்டியவற்றையும் விடுகிறார். இதைத்தான் அகத்தியர் இப்பாடலில் குறிப்பிடுகிறார்.
