112 Great statement and meeting the Lord

Verse 112

பாராளு மெக்கியமா முனியே யையா

பதிவான ரிஷி முனிவர் சித்தரெல்லாம்

நேராக நின்று தவம் பெற்ற பேரை

நீள்புவியில் பிறந்திடுவார் என்று வாக்கியம்

பேராகச் சொல்லி மனக்கசடு நீக்கிப்

பிறவாத நெறிகாட்டி அமிர்தம் ஈந்து

மாறாத அடுமை படைத்து ஆளுமென்று

மார்க்கமுடன் அவர் பதத்தில் வணங்கினேனே

Translation:

The yajna muni, one who rules this world, Sir!

The Rishi, muni and Siddha

Those who attained the great name and austerity

Will be born in this world this way, is the statement

Uttering the name and removing the dregs from the mind

Showing the way to not be born, granting the nectar

Offering service, saying rule me

I worshipped his sacred feet/locus in the proper way.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar says that his explanation of how and why great souls are born is also confirmed by the great statement.  He says that Siddhas, rishis and munis or realized souls are born this way. He adds that he worshipped the sacred feet that gave this statement serving it and saying, “Remove mental dregs, show me the path, offer the nectar, rule me”

தான் முற்பாடலில் எவ்வாறு ஞானிகள் பிறக்கிறார்கள், எதற்காகப் பிறக்கிறார்கள் என்று கூறியதை மகா வாக்கியம் வழிமொழிகிறது என்றும் மகா வாக்கியத்தைக் கூறியவரது பொற்பாதத்தைத் தான் சேவைகள் செய்து வணங்கி, “எனது மனக்கசடுகளை நீக்குங்கள், அமிர்தத்தை அருளுங்கள் எம்மை ஆளுங்கள் என்று மார்க்கமாகப் பணிந்தேன்,” என்கிறார்.
