Verse 541

பாரப்பா காந்தமுடன் சாரம் பூரம்

பதிவான துத்தமுடன் துரிசுகாரம்

நேரப்பா பதிமூன்றும் வகையாய் தாக்கி

நேர்மையுடன் கல்வமத்தில் பொடித்து மைந்தா

காரப்பா கமலரசந் தன்னாலந்த

கருணையுடன் மூன்றுநாள் நன்றாயாட்டி

சேரப்பா ஒன்றாக ஆட்டும்போது

திருவான நாதநீர் தன்னாலாட்டே

Translation:

See sir, along with kaantham, saaram, pooram,

Thuttham, thurisu kaaram

Hitting the thirteen together

Powdering them in the mortar, son,

With the kamala rasam

Grinding them for three days, with mercy,

Mix them together.  While grinding

Grind with the thiru, the water of nadha.

Commentary:

Naaga rasam, veeram, gevuri, lingam, guru, aridhaaram, ayam, kaantham, saaram, pooram, thuttham, thurisu, kaaram. These are medicinal products.  Agatthiyar lists them as 13 in number. These are powered in a mortar and the kamalarasam is added to them and ground for three days,  Then they are ground with nadha neer.

Let us see a few of them in the philosophical sense- naaga rasam- akasha, veeram- mind, gevuri- air, kaaram- anahatam, saaram- manipurakam, thuttham- akasa.  Naagarasam and thuttham may be micro and macro akasha that in the body and outside. 

So these seem to be a combination of the elements, the chakra, breath and mind.

They are then processed with the essence of the lotus or the chakra for three days and then with the nadha.

நாகரசம், வீரம், கெவுரி, லிங்கம், குரு, அரிதாரம், அயம், காந்தம், சாரம், பூரம், துத்தம், துரிசு, காரம் ஆகிய பதிமூன்று பொருள்களையும் ஒன்றாகச் சேர்த்து கல்வத்தில் ஆட்டி அதில் கமலரசம் சேர்த்து மூன்று நாட்கள் ஆட்டி பிறகு அவற்றில் நாதநீர் சேர்க்க வேண்டும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.

இந்த பதிமூன்று பொருட்களைத் தத்துவ ரீதியாகப் பார்த்தால் அவை ஐம்பூதங்கள், பிண்டாகாசம், அண்ட ஆகாசம், மனம், மூச்சு என்பதாகத் தெரிகிறது.  இவற்றுடன் கமலரசம் எனப்படும் சக்கரங்களின் தத்துவங்களை சேர்த்து அதன் பின் நாத நீரைச் சேர்க்க வேண்டும் என்று கூறுகிறார் அகத்தியர்.  இவ்வாறு இப்பாடல்கள் பல முறைகளின் பூதங்கள், தத்துவங்கள் ஆக்கியாவை ஒன்றாகச் சேர்க்கப்பட்டு நாதத்துடன் கூட்டப்படுகின்றன.
