114. The aadhi antham vasthu- the origin terminus entity

Verse 114

கேளப்பா நான்முகன்மால் இந்திராதி தேவர்

கெடியான வேதமுதல் சமயத்தோரும்

தேரப்பா தேடி அறியாத வஸ்து

தெளிவான வெளியதுதான் பரமதாகும்

கேளப்பா பரமான வஸ்து தன்னைக்

கிருபையுடன் அறிவதுவே ஆதியந்தம்

கேளப்பா ஆதியந்த வஸ்து மனு படைத்த

கெதியைமிக அறிவதுவே விளக்கந்தானே

Translation:

Listen son, the entity that Brahma, Vishnu, Indra and other Devas

Those who belong to religions including the vedic

Searched and never found,

Is clear space (veli), Param.

Listen Son, knowing the entity Param,

With mercy is aadhi antham (origin terminus)

Lisen son, the way in which the origin terminus created human-

Knowing about it is its explanation.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar describes the original entity that casued the emergence of this world.  He calls it vetta veli and Param. Param, the aadhi antham or origin terminus, created manu or humans. Knowing how this occurred is the explanation for the term origin terminus as it describes how lifeforms occurred and how they terminate.

அகத்தியர் ஆதியந்தம் என்ற வஸ்துவை இப்பாடலில் வெட்டவெளி, பரம் என்று அழைக்கிறார்.  இது யாராலும் காணமுடியாத வஸ்து.  இதுவே உலகையும் மனு எனப்படும் மனிதனையும் படைத்தது.  இந்த படைப்பு எவ்வாறு ஏற்பட்டது என்பதை அறிவதே ஆதியந்தம் என்பதன் விளக்கமாகும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
