Verse 60

மணிபூரகம்

 காணவே பிரம்மாவின் பதியைச் சொன்னேன்

கருவான மணிபூரகங் கருத்தைக் கேளு

தோணவே பிறை மூன்றாம் பிறை போற்கீறித்

துலங்க அதில் ஈரைந்து பத்தும் போட்டு

பேணவே நிரமதுதான் பளிங்கு போலாம்

பிறை மூன்றாம் பிறை நடுவே மகாரமிட்டு

பூணவே சங்கிலி மங்கென்றேதான்

பூரணமாய்த் தினம் நூறு செபித்துக்காரே

Translation:

Manipurakam

I gave instructions to see the locus of Brahma

Listen about the essence, the manipurakam, listen about it

Draw a crescent like that of moon on the third day of waxing

Drawing the two fives, ten

The hue is that of crystal

Adding the makaara in the middle of the crescent

Adding the sang, kili, mang

Recite hundred times daily.

Commentary:

In the previous verse Agatthiyar explained that when the practice appropriate for svadishtan was performed one would see the brahma svaroopa.  He begins this verse with a statement that it is the locus of Brahma.  He describes the manipurakam as having a crescent in the middle.  Here again he differs from the Tantric description where the svadishtana cakra has the crescent in the middle.  The number of petals, ten, is similar to the tantric system.  However, the color that Agatthiyar states, that of a crystal, is different from any of the systems.  Unlike the tantric system that has ram as the middle syllable, Agatthiyar says that the middle syllable is makaara.   He says that adding sang, kili and mang to the makaara one should recite it hundred times.

From the above verses we realize that the method that Agatthiyar is describing is exclusively the Tamil Siddha marga. 

முந்தைய பாடலில் அகத்தியர் சுவாதிஷ்டான காக்கரத்துக்கான பயிற்சியைக் குறிப்பிட்டு அதைச் செய்பவர் பிரம்ம சொரூபத்தைக் காண்பர் என்றார்.  இப்பாடலில் அவர் சுவாதிஷ்டானம் பிரம்மாவின் இருப்பிடம் என்கிறார்.  அவரது விளக்கம் நவநாத சித்தர் கோரக்கநாதரின் விளக்கத்தை ஒத்திருக்கிறது.  இப்பாடலில் அகத்தியர் மணிபூரக சக்கரத்தை விளக்குகிறார்.  இந்த சக்கரப் பயிற்சிக்கு மூன்றாம் பிறையைப் போன்ற பிறையை நடுவில் வரைந்து அதன் மத்தியில் மகாரத்தை இடவேண்டும். அதனைச் சுற்றி பத்து இதழ்களைப் போட்டு நடுவில் மகாரத்தை இட வேண்டும்.  மகாரத்துடன் சங் கிலி மங் என்று நூறுமுறை செபிக்கவேண்டும் என்கிறார் அவர்.  மனிபூரகத்தின் நிறம் பளிங்கு என்கிறார். இதன் மூலம் அகத்தியர் விளக்கும் முறைகள் தமிழ் சித்தர்களின் தனிப்பட்ட முறைகள் என்பது புரிகிறது.
