513. The effulgence is the agni

Verse 513

தேறுவது சூக்ஷாதி சூக்ஷமப்பா

திருவான சூக்ஷமதை சொல்லக்கேளு

நேருவது கலையறிந்து சுழினைக் கேற்றி

நெற்றிஎன்ற மத்தியடா மகாரமீதில்

சாருவது தெளிவெனவே சார்ந்துகொண்டால்

தன்மயமாம் வாசிதான் தயவாய் நிற்கும்

ஆருவது ஆதாரம் தன்னில்

அடங்கிநின்ற அக்கினியே சோதி காணே

Translation:

Become expert of the subtlest of the subtle

Listen to me talk about the thiru the subtlety

Knowing the kala, raising it to ajna

In the middle of the forehead, over the makaara

If you remain associated with it

The tanmaya, the vasi will remain humbly

In the six adhara

The fire that remained abiding is the effulgence, Jyothi.

Commentary:

When the three kala, Chandra, surya and agni are brought together in the sushumna nadi and raised up to the middle of the forehead, or brow middle, the ajna then the breath will abide in kumbaka.  The fire will appear as effulgence.  Agatthiyar calls this site as the makaara and says that it is the subtlest of the subtle.

சந்திரன், சூரியன் மற்றும் அக்னி கலைகளை என்றாக்கி அவற்றை நெற்றி மத்தியிலுள்ள ஆக்ஞைக்கு ஏற்றினால் மூச்சான வாசி அடங்கி கும்பகத்தில் நிற்கும்.  இவ்வாறு ஆறு ஆதாரங்களில் பாயும் அக்னியே ஆக்னையில் சோதியாகத் தெரியும் என்று அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார். ஆக்ஞையை மகாரம் என்று அழைக்கும் அகத்தியர் இது சூட்சாதி சூட்சம் என்று கூறுகிறார்.
