503. The kaaram and veeram or siva sakthi

Verse 503

பாரப்பா காரமுடன் வீரங் கூட்டி

பத்தியுடன் தானரைக்க நீருண்டாகும்

நேரப்பா அன்நீரால் மைந்தா கேளு

நிசமாக சாரமுடன் வீரந் தோய்த்துக்

கூரப்பா விளக்கொளியில் வாட்டினாக்கால்

கசடற்று கட்டியது திட்டமாகும்

சேரப்பா நாகமது உருகும்போது

செயமான சாரமதைச் சேர்த்துப் பாரே

Translation:

See son, bringing together kaaram and veeram (siva and sakthi)

Grinding it with devotion, liquid will occur

With that water, son,

Dipping the truthful saaram and veeram

If it is toasted in the light of the lamp

It will become free from impurities and become a solid,

Add the nagam while melting

Add the jaya, the essence and see

Commentary:

Kaaram and Veeram are Sakti and Siva.  They also represent the nadha and bindu.  These two are represented by the muladhara and sahasrara or ajna.  These two are brought together through consciousness, with devotion.  Then the amrit or the fluid emerges.  To that add the essence of saaram, which is the essence of the jiva and toasted in the light of knowledge or awareness.  Then the jiva loses its innate impurities or mala.  To this is added the naagam, snake, the kundalini sakthi or the power of prapancha in the body.  Then the jiva attains jaya or victory over all the principles.

காரம், வீரம் என்பது சிவ சக்திகளை, நாத பிந்துக்களைக் குறிக்கும்.  இவை இரண்டையும் பக்தியினால் ஒன்றாக்கினால் நீர் எனப்படும் அமிர்தம் சுரக்கும்.  இந்த நீரில் சாரம் எனப்படும் ஜீவனின் அடிப்படைத் தத்துவத்தை, உணர்வை தோய்த்து, அதை அறிவு என்ற விளக்கொளியில் வாட்டினால் எல்லா மலங்களும் கழிந்து அந்த ஜீவன் தனது நிலையில் நிற்கும்.  அப்போது அதனுடன் நாகம் எனப்படும் குண்டலினி சக்தியை, உடலில் உள்ள பிரபஞ்ச பிராண சக்தியைக் கூட்டினால் ஜெயம் உண்டாகும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
