Verse 471

ஆச்சப்பா சிவயோகி ஆவதென்றால்

அடங்கி நின்ற பஞ்சகர்த்தாள் அஞ்சு பேரை

பேச்சப்பா பேச்சறிந்து கண்டு கொண்டு

பெருமையினால் சிவயோக முத்தனாச்சு

மூச்சப்பா தானறிந்து தன்னைப் பார்த்து

முனையான சுழினையில் வாசி பூட்டி

காச்சப்பா அக்கினி கொண்டாறாதாரங்

கசடகலக் காச்சிவிடு கனகமாமே

Translation:

To become a siva yogi

The pancha kartha five who remained abiding

Knowing speech, see it.

That is (the state of) sivayoga muktha

Knowing the breath, seeing the self

Locking the vaasi in the tip, the ajna (suzhinai)

Boil/the six adhara with fire

Boil it so that the crud will be removed, it becomes gold.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar explains how to become a siva yogi.  The pancha kartha or the five actors are Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Maheswara and Sadasiva.  Speech represents nadha.  When Agatthiyar says know the speech it means know its origin, nadha.  Knowing the breath means knowing the prana or the life force that rides with the breath.  This is the vaasi.  This is locked at ajna the tip.   The fire is the fire of kundalini.  This fire is raised through the six adhara.  When the energy moves through them the adhara are lighted up as if they are on fire.  The adhara represent different limitations.  Agatthiyar calls them as crud.  This crud is burned when the fire of kundalini passes through these centers.  Then the body becomes pure, like gold.

எவ்வாறு சிவயோகியாவது என்று இப்பாடலில் அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார். பஞ்ச கர்த்தாக்கள் என்பது பிரம்மா, விஷ்ணு, ருத்திரன், மகேஸ்வரன் மற்றும் சதாசிவன் ஆகியவர்களைக் குறிக்கும்.  பேச்சு என்பது அதன் மூலமான நாதத்தைக் குறிக்கும்.  மூச்சை அறிந்து என்பது அந்த மூச்சை வாகனமாகக் கொண்டு பயணிக்கும் பிராணனைக் குறிக்கும்.  அதுவே வாசியாகும்.  இந்த வாசியை முனை அல்லது சுழினை எனப்படும் ஆக்ஞையில் பூட்ட வேண்டும்.  அக்னி என்பது குண்டலினி தீ.  அதனால் ஆறு ஆதாரங்களை எரிக்கவேண்டும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  ஆறு ஆதாரங்களும் ஆறு உணர்வு நிலைகளைக் குறிக்கும்.  பல தத்துவங்களைக் குறிக்கும்.  இந்த தத்துவங்கள் ஏற்படுத்தும் அளவுக்குட்பட்டமையே மலங்கள் எனப்படுகின்றன.  இந்த களங்கம் எரியுமாறு குண்டலினித்தீயால் ஆதாரங்களை எரிக்க வேண்டும், அவ்வாறு செய்தால் உடல் பொன்னார் மேனியாகும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
