Muladhara

மூலாதாரம்

கேளப்பா விபரமென்ன மூலாதாரங்

கிருபையுடன் கண்டுகொள்ள  வகையைக் கேளு

காலப்பா தோன்றி நின்ற மூலாதாரம்

கருணையுடன் சொல்லுகிறேன் அண்டம் போலாம்

மேலப்பா அண்டமதிற் சூழ்ந்து நின்ற

விசையான இதழதுதான் நாலுமாச்சு

சூளப்பா நிறமதுதான் மாணிக்கம் போல்

சுகமாக நின்றுதடா மூலம் பாரே

Translation:

Listen son, the details about the muladhara

Listen to the way to see it

The prana, the place where it occurs and remains, the muladhara

I will tell you with mercy, is like the universe

In that universe, the surrounding

The petals are four

See son, its color is like ruby

Remained there comfortably, see the origin (moolam)

Commentary:

Agatthiyar is describing the muladhara as the origin of prana.  He says it is like the universe.  The total number of petals is four and its colour is like the ruby.

மூலாதாரமே கால் அல்லது பிராணன் தோன்றும் இடம், அது அண்டம் போல் இருக்கும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  அண்டம் என்பது ஒரு கோளம் மற்றும் உலகம் என்று பொருள்படும்.  இதன் இதழ்கள் நான்கு என்று கூறும் அகத்தியர் அதன் நிறம் மாணிக்கம் என்கிறார்.
