511. Sivayoga will remain firmly

Verse 511

ஒன்றாகத்தான் கொடுத்து உருக்கி மைந்தா

உண்மையுடன் பத்துக்கு ஒன்று வெள்ளி

நன்றாகத் தான் கொடுத்து உருக்கிப்பாரு

நல்ல வெள்ளி மாத்ததிகம் நலமாய்க்காணும்

நின்றாடும் பொன் வெள்ளி கண்டாயானால்

நின்மனது அலையாது யோகத்தேகும்

குன்றாது சிவயோகம் கூர்மையாகும்

குருவசனம் மறவாமல் குறிகண்டாடே

Translation:

Adding them together and melting, son,

Ten to one silver

Adding it well, melting it, See

The good silver with high quality will be be seen.

If you see the dancing silver and gold

You mind will become steady, it will proceed in yoga

The sivayogam will become sharp

Without forgetting the words of the guru, see the sign and dance.

Commentary:

The gold and silver seem to be ida and pingala or the surya and Chandra mandala.  Silver also means the rasa.  In that state the mind will remain in sivayoga without wavering.  Agatthiyar advises us to remember guru’s words and proceed further.

இப்பாடலில் தங்கம் வெள்ளி என்பவை இடா பிங்களா நாடிகளாகவோ சந்திர சூரிய மண்டலங்களாகவோ இருக்கலாம்.  வெள்ளி என்பது ரசம் என்றும் பொருள்படும்.  மாத்ததிகமான வெள்ளி கிட்டும் என்பது தூய்மை நிலையைக் குறிக்கும்.  இந்த நிலையில் சிவயோகம் நிலைபெற்று இருக்கும்.  இதற்கு குருவின் வார்த்தைகளை மறக்காமல் நின்று ஆடவேண்டும் என்று அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார்.
