493. anda pindam or the form with universal body

Verse 493

தானான அண்டபிண்ட மண்விண்ணாச்சு

சகல சராசரங்களெல்லாம் அதுதானாச்சு

வானென்ற வடிவுதன்னைக் காணாரெல்லாம்

வாசா கோசரமாகப் பேசலாச்சு

ஊனென்ற உடலுயிரை உண்மையாக

உண்மையென்ற ஞான நெறி காணாரெல்லாம்

வீணென்ற வேடமதைத் தரித்துக்கொண்டு

வெறியெடுத்த நாய்போலே திரிவான் பாரே

Translation:

The anda pinda became the earth and sky

It became all the mobile and immobile

Those who did not see the form of the sky

They started talking about it

The body soul complex- as the truth

Those who do not see the truth, the wisdom path

Adorn various garbs

And roam around like a mad dog.

Commentary:

The andapinda or the supreme form, the supreme body described in the previous verse appears as the earth, the sky and as all the living and nonliving entities.  Thus, everything is the supreme in its state with a form.  Those who do not know this soul body complex, the soul being the Divine and the body being the manifested universe or the soul and body complex of the divine, the andapinda form talk about it variously.  They adorn various garbs like saints, philosophers and ritualists and roam around like a mad dog, mouthing empty talks.

பரம்பொருளின் வேதாந்த பிண்ட உருவே, அண்டபிண்ட நிலையே உலகமாகவும் பல உயிர்களாகவும் உள்ளன.   இவ்வாறு உடலும் உயிருமாக, அண்டத்தை உடலாகக் கொண்டு பரம்பொருள் இருப்பதை அறியாதவர்கள் பலவிதமாகப் பேசுகின்றனர்.  குருக்கள், ஞானிகள், மதவாதிகள் என்ற வேடங்களைத் தரித்துக்கொண்டு அவர்கள் வெறி பிடித்த நாயைப் போலத் திரிகின்றனர் என்று அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார்.
