488. Another alchemical method

Verse 488

ஆச்சப்பா இன்னமொரு வேதை மார்க்கம்

அருமையுள்ள புலத்தியனே சொல்லக் கேளு

தோச்ச்சப்பா அரிதாரம் சாதிலிங்கம்

சுகமான பொரிக்காரஞ் சவ்வீரந்தான்

பாச்சப்பா வகைக்கிமஞ்சி சாடி பூட்டி

பதிவாக கமலரசந் தன்னாலாட்டி

நீச்சப்பா தங்கமொரு பலத்தகட்டில்

நீ மகனே கவசம்து நன்றாய்ச் செய்யே

Translation:

Yes son, another alchemical method

My beloved Pulatthiya!  Listen to this

The aridhaaram and jati lingam

The pleasurable pori kaaram savveeram

Direct it son, to the five types, locking it

Grinding it carefully with the essence of the lotus

On a golden plate

Make an armor, son.

Commentary:

This method is similar to the previous verses except the fact that Agatthiyar tells Pulathiyar to make a coating on the golden plate.  As we saw before, the golden plate coreresponds to the muladhara chakra.  The aridhaaram, jati lingam, pori kaaram, savveeram and kamalarasam are as mentioned before. 

ஒரே ஒரு வித்தியாசத்தைத் தவிர முந்தைய பாடலில் கூறியதைப்போலவே உள்ளது இப்பாடல்.  பொரிகாரம் சவ்வீரம், ஜாதி லிங்கம், அரிதாரம் கமலரசம் என்பவற்றை முன்னமே பார்த்தோம்.  இவ்வற்றை தங்கத் தகட்டில் பூசுமாறு கூறுகிறார் அகத்தியர்.  தங்கம் என்பது மூலாதாரத்தைக் குறிக்கும்.
