486. Karisanam parisanam

Verse 486

வரிசையுடன் சுண்ணாம்பு முப்புங் கூட்டி

மார்க்கமுடன் சம்பளத்தால் நன்றாயாட்டி

வரிசையுடன் மேல்கவசம் நன்றாய்ச் செய்து

வண்மையுடன் புடம்போட்டு எடுத்துப் பாரு

கரிசனமாய்ப் புடமாறி எடுத்துப் பார்த்தல்

கல்லா கல்லுப்பு கட்டுப் பாரு

பரிசனமாய்க் கல்லுப்பு கட்டிற்றானால்

பாலகனே வேதைமுகம் பதிவாங் காணே

Translation:

Along with the above adding the slaked lime and triple salt

Grinding it in the proper way with sambalam

Adding a covering on the top

Heat it and check

When you take it out with care after it transforms

The rock, the rock salt with solidify

When the parisanam, the rock salt solidifies

Boy!  You will see the face of alchemy/ the locus through rasavadha.

Commentary:

The sunnam mentioned here are the trip soonya, muppu is akara, ukara and makara or the omkara, the nadha.  When this is enclosed and burnt slowly, the karisanam or the group of kari or elephant, the principles in the muladhara will be solified or transformed.  The parisanam is the breath with prana, the pari and the principles associated with it.  The last line may mean through the vedai or alchemy you will see the locus, or the  state at ajna.  It also means you will see the face of vedai or that which should be known.

சுண்ணம் என்றால் சூன்யம் அல்லது பாழ்.  முப்பு என்றால் அகார உகார மகார அல்லது நாத தத்துவம்.  இதை மேலே மூடி புடம் போட்டு கரிசனமாய் பார்த்தால் என்ற தொடரில் கரி என்பது யானை என்ற பொருளில் மூலாதாரத்தில் உள்ள தத்துவங்களைக் குறிக்கும்.  பரிசனமாய் கல்லுப்பு கட்டு என்றால் பரிசனம் எனப்படும் மூச்சு மற்றும் பிராணன் என்ற பரியுடன் சேர்ந்த தத்துவங்கள் கல்லுப்பு எனப்படும் பூமி தத்துவம் கெட்டிப்படும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  இவ்வாறு செய்தால் வேதை முகத்தால் பதியைப் பார்க்கலாம் என்றும் அவர் கூறுகிறார்.  இங்கு பதி என்றால் ஆக்ஞையைக் குறிக்கும்.  பதி என்பது இறைவனையும் குறிக்கும்.  ரசவாதத்தால் ஆக்னையில் சதாசிவனைக் காண்பதையும் இத்தொடர் குறிக்கிறது.
