502. Suddha maya, ajna and siva bhijam

Verse 502

அரிதார ஈயம்

செய்யப்பா கட்டி நின்ற வீரம் லிங்கம்

தீர்க்கமுடன் நாதநீர் தன்னால் ஆட்டி

மெய்யப்பா தாரமதுக் கங்கிபூட்டி

விசையான ரவியில் வைக்க ஈயமாகும்

வையப்பா தங்கமதில் ஈயஞ் சேர்த்து

மார்க்கமுடன் தானுருக்க குருவாய் நிற்கும்

பையப்பா குருவெடுத்து வெள்ளிச் செம்பில்

பத்துக்கு ஒன்றிடவே பழுக்கும் பாரே

Translation:

Aridhaara eeyam

The veeram (mercury) lingam that solidified

Grinding it with the water of nadha

Locking the fire in the dhaaram (adhara/chakra)

Placing it in the sun (surya mandala) it will become lead (ee- maya)

Place the lead in the gold

Melting it together it will remain as guru

Taking the guru in the silver pot/silver copper

Placing one for ten it will mature.

Commentary:

As we saw before aridharam may be the adhara or chakra.  Veeram is mercury or Sivam.  Eeyam means lead but it also means maya-ee and the sound m.  Thus, consciousness is joined with nadha and the chakra.  The combination is placed in the surya mandala when it becomes maya or suddha maya.  They are raised to the ajna.  Here all the principles will become one and the state of light, guru will ensue.  This is then brought to the chakras.  With the help of prana, one of the ten vital breaths, it will mature.

அரிதாரம் என்றால் ஆதாரம் அல்லது சக்கரங்கள்.  வீரம் என்பது பாதரசம்.  அதை சிவபீஜம் என்று அழைக்கின்றனர்.  இவ்வாறு இது உணர்வைக் குறிக்கிறது. ஈயம் என்பதை ஈ ம் என்று பிரித்தால் அது மாயையை குறிக்கும்.  உணர்வை நாதம் சக்கரம் ஆகியவற்றுடன் சேர்த்து அதை சூரியமண்டலத்தில் இட்டால் அது சுத்த மாயை நிலையை அடையும்.  அதை தங்கம் என்னும் ஆக்ஞைக்கு எழுப்பினால் குருநிலை அல்லது ஒளிநிலை ஏற்படும்.  அதை பிறகு சக்கரங்களுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்து பிராணனுடன் (பத்து பிராணன்களில் ஒன்று) சேர்த்தால் அது பழுக்கும்.
