Verse 499

செய்யப்பா சீலை செய்து புடத்தைப் போடு

செம்மையுடன் நாகமது உருகி நிற்கும்

மெய்யப்பா உருகி நின்ற நாகத்தோடே

மேலான தங்கமதைச் சரியாய்ச் சேர்த்து

வையப்பா செம்பு வெள்ளி ஒன்றாய்க் கூட்டி

மகத்தான நாககுரு பத்துக்கொன்று

கையப்பா தானறிந்து குடுத்துப் பாரு

கண்ணடங்காத் தங்கவொளி காணலாமே

Translation:

Cover the top so and heat is slowly

The zinc/snake will stand molten

Along with the molten zinc/snake

Add the god in equal proportions

Add together copper and silver

The great guru snake ten to one/ killing ten

Knowing the proportion add it

You can see the limitless golden light.

Commentary:

The six components mentioned in the above verse are covered with ukara and incubated slowly in heat.  The snake or the kundalini sakthi will melt.  Along with this add the gold- the muladhara, the copper the manipuraka and the silver the vishuddhi, that is, consciousness is place in these locations.  The term patthukkonru means ten to one as well as killing the ten, the ten being the types of prana.  Thus this refers to the state of kumbaka or breathless state.  Then the yogin will perceive the golden light at the ajna.

மேற்பாடலில் கூறிய ஆறு பொருட்களையும் உகாரமான சக்தியுடன் சேர்த்து புடம்போடவேண்டும். அவ்வாறு எழும் அக்னியில் அனைத்தும் உருகி நிற்கும்.  அவற்றுடன் தங்கம், செம்பு, வெள்ளி எனப்படும் சக்கரங்களில் உணர்வை நிறுத்த வேண்டும். அப்போது பத்து பிராணன்களைக் கொன்று கும்பக நிலையில் நிற்க வேண்டும் அப்போது தங்க ஒளி தென்படும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
