498. Processing zinc/ kundalini

Verse 498

நாகக்கட்டு

தானான நாகமதைக் காணவேண்டி

தன்மையுள்ள நாகமுறை ஒன்று கேளு

வீணான கெந்தகமும் துரிசு தாரம்

வெள்ளைப் பாஷாணமுடன் சாரஞ்சங்கு

வானான அறுசரக்குங் கல்வத்திட்டு

வரிசையுடன் சம்பளத்தின் சாற்றிலாட்டி

கோனான நாகமதிற் கவசம் பண்ணிக்

கூர்மையுடன் சத்தியுப்பால் சீலை செய்யே

Translation:

To see the self, the snake (zinc)

Listen to the method of snake

The useless Sulphur thurisu dhaaram

White paashaanam, saaram and conch

All the six products in the mortar

Grinding it with the juice of sambalam

Making a shield in the king, snake/zinc

Perform seelai with the sakti uppu.

Commentary:

Thutthanaagam is zinc.  Naagam also means snake.  Add sulphur, copper sulphate, arsenic sulphide, white arsenic, essence and conch shell.  Grind all these with the juice of sambalam.  Mix them with zinc and incubate with the sakti salt.

The philosophical interpretation may be as follows:  mix the six components that represent nada, bindu, prana, manas, consciousness and the essence and make shield for kundalini energy the snake.  Then add sakti the ukara.

நாகம் என்பது துத்தநாகம்.  இப்பாடலில் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ஆறு பொருட்களையும் கல்வத்தில் இட்டு சம்பள சாறு விட்டு அரைத்து நாகத்துக்கு கவசமிடவேண்டும்.  பிறகு சக்தி உப்பால் சீலை செய்யவேண்டும் என்று அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார்.

இதன் தத்துவ விளக்கம் இவ்வாறு இருக்கலாம்: நாதம், பிந்து, பிராணன், மனம், உணர்வு மற்று சத்து எனப்படும் பிரபஞ்ச பிராண சக்தி ஆகியவற்றை ஒன்றாய்க் கூட்டி நாகம் எனப்படும் குண்டலினி சக்திக்கு கவசமாக்கவேண்டும்.  பின் அதனை சக்தி எனப்படும் உகாரத்துடன் சேர்க்கவேண்டும்
